This is a grand event of Yue Opera art in Songjiang, Shanghai, the "hometown of drama", and it is also a festival for the majority of Yue Opera fans. On January 25th, the 2024 New Year Performance of Fang Song Yue Art Society was held in the small theater of Yunjian Hall Culture and Art Center. The whole performance brought together the three generations of Songjiang middle, young and young Yuetan leaders, and everyone gathered together to sing to welcome the New Year and show the excitement and vitality of Songjiang Yue Opera art.
The whole performance is divided into 3 sections. The first original Yue Opera opened "A Hundred Years of Prosperity, Create Glory Again", and many Yue Opera stars sang their love for the motherland in the form of group performances. The second section of "Children's Award-winning Programs" selected "Loyal Requiem, Remember the Qingshuitang", "He Wenxiu: Mulberry Garden's Wife", Yueyun Opera and Dance "Heavenly Maiden Scattered Flowers" and Kunqu Opera "Hujiazhuang" 4 programs, although the actors of these programs are not very old, they have won awards in major competitions such as the National "Little Plum Blossom" Children's Drama Competition and the Shanghai "Little Magnolia" Children's Drama Competition, showing the new strength of young dramatists in Songjiang. The third section of "Young and Middle-aged Programs" selected excerpts, "The Legend of the West Chamber: Copying Red" and "Love Detective: Farewell" sang the reluctance in my heart, and "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai Loutai Meeting" (Xu Wang Version) set off the climax of the whole performance, allowing the audience to appreciate why classics are classics.
According to Ma Shichun, the instructor of Fang Songyue Art Club, the whole performance presents 4 "new". First of all, the new generation, the outstanding members of the Xiaohua class appeared on the stage to show the hope and future of the drama; secondly, the new actors, the introduction of outstanding new actors, enriched the strength of the team; then the new form, trying the male and female co-performance of the Yue Opera team, giving the audience a refreshing experience; and finally the new program, the new arrangement of the program appeared on the stage for the first time to meet the audience's escalating needs.
It is understood that since its establishment in 2010, Fangsong Yue Art Society has developed into a Yue Opera team with more than 20 people (including Xiaohua Class), rehearsing more than 30 classic Yue Opera operas "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai", "Dream of Red Mansions", "The Legend of the West Chamber", "Purple Jade Hairpin" and classic excerpts of various genres. The team has always adhered to the tenet of "grasping rehearsals behind closed doors, opening the curtain and seeing the real chapter", adhered to the stage of Songjiang Qunwen opera, and walked its footprints to Jiangsu, Zhejiang and even at home and abroad, which has become a benchmark and sample for the relay inheritance of Songjiang drama.
