On January 23, 2024, immediately after the first heavy snowfall of the year, we went to Bailinzhou. On the 22nd, it was a day of heavy snow in Taoyuan, and I wanted to photograph Bailinzhou when it snowed, but on that day, the Yuanjiang River was completely closed, and I couldn't go up to the continent to photograph Bailinzhou in the snowstorm, so I had to sigh on the other side of the river. Fortunately, it was a sunny day the next day, and I arrived at the Bailinzhou ferry early in the morning. On the boat, I met the mayor of Kuai and Huang Zhishu in the town, and they also went to the continent to check the situation after the snow.

The Bai Lin Continent I saw this time was completely different from what I usually saw, Bai Lin Zhou became a snow white island, except for the places on the road and the dock where people walked, it was all snow white. The first snow of 2024 is beautiful, the houses and trees are full of thick snow, and the sun is very good on this day, and the snow is dazzlingly white under the sun.

Due to the timely sunshine, there was no snow disaster. Strangely, I didn't see a few children playing in the snow outside, and I only saw some people riding motorcycles and pushing tricycles on the road. With the mayor of Kuai and Huang Zhishu to the village department, several village cadres are immersed in the office, after inquiry, there is no problem due to snow on the continent, very gratifying.

We walked half a circle on the continent, there were not many pedestrians on the road, and occasionally we met a walking or cyclist who hurried by. Walking into a house, some are washing and drying clothes, some are preparing New Year's goods, some are cleaning, some are gathering in a house to play cards, some are doing housework, and some are flipping through their mobile phones......

Turning while shooting, from the big pier to the village, and then along the 10th, 9th, 8th, 7th group back to the wharf, it was more than 2 o'clock in the afternoon, the stomach was hungry and growling, and then the snow around the wharf was completely different from the snow seen when I went to the island in the morning, the snow had melted most of it, and the snow was no longer visible on many branches, the wind was blowing by the river, and the temperature was obviously dropping. We had to get on the boat and go back.
