In 2023, the pandemic has hit the world hard, but we have seen that only 15% of companies or individuals have performed well in their peers, and Volvo Trucks has achieved quite good results in the Chinese market: tractor sales have increased by nearly 30%.
However, he cautioned that we should not favor the short-term benefits of price wars, as this will only reduce the quality of logistics services and worsen the entire market. We should focus on efficiency improvement and scientific management of our own fleet and investment, so as to obtain greater benefits in the process of business operation.
Looking ahead, the price war is likely to continue, but Volvo does not plan to participate in this race, but is committed to helping customers improve efficiency and improve their competitive advantage. They firmly believe that electric trucks cannot meet the efficiency of current customers, and they will introduce new energy products to China as soon as technology advances and infrastructure is in place.
