This began with last year's "Ma Shushan case," which on the surface was an ordinary wrongful conviction to pursue responsibility. But with the passage of time and the fermentation of events, the shady scenes behind the case make people shudder.
Things have to start with Ma Shushan, a "good man who moved to the west". Last year, he reported to the relevant departments a number of violations of discipline and law by Li, secretary of the Qianxi County Party Committee.

Is it really as public opinion has said that Secretary Li, the official involved in the case, has a lot of power behind him to operate and protect? Otherwise, why did the investigation team take so long to make no progress in a clearly wrongly decided case?
What makes people even more puzzling and indignant is that just when the investigation was in full swing, a large number of so-called "Wanmin Books" suddenly appeared in Hebei to correct and exonerate the official involved in the case, Secretary Li. These articles are all written by some unknown netizens, who claim to be the masses and want to complain about Secretary Li.
However, on closer inspection, it is clear that these "books of all people" were written by the same person or group of people, and the writing and logic are almost identical. Moreover, most of these accounts are newly registered, and there is no interaction on weekdays, and it seems that they are clearly organized and premeditated to wash the floor for Secretary Li in the field of public opinion.
Then the question arises: At a time when the investigation of the Ma Shushan case has not yet been concluded and the situation is not favorable to Secretary Li, who people or departments will go to such great lengths to exonerate him? Is it really to regain his innocence, or is there another purpose?
What is clear is that it is by no means an unorganized "book of the people", but it is very likely that the official credibility department is behind the support or even planning. Such an act is tantamount to tampering with and distorting facts, deceiving the public, and flouting the law.
So in the end, who is the real umbrella behind the "Ma Shushan case"? Hebei officialdom is so noisy that people can't see it really. But what is certain is that the power of this umbrella must be extremely powerful, otherwise it would not have been possible for the joint investigation of the six major departments to go without progress for so long.
