Napoli have confirmed Osimhen's departure this summer, with the London duo scrambling for the spot

Napoli striker Osimhen's days in Serie A are counting down, with Napoli boss Di Lorendis personally admitting that the 25-year-old Nigerian international will leave the club for a move this summer, with Premier League giants Arsenal and Chelsea rumoured to have the best chance of signing Osimhen.

Although Osimhen only renewed his contract until 2026 last month, there is a buyout clause in the new contract extension of only 112 million pounds, which reflects that as long as other teams are willing to bid for this price, Napoli cannot stop him from leaving, owner Di Lorendis said in a recent interview with the media: "We already knew last summer that Osimhen wanted to leave, so the renewal process took a lot of time to negotiate, but the relationship between the two sides is good, we know that he may switch to Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, or the top teams of the Premier League". Osimhen also revealed earlier that he will decide his professional future at the end of this season.

Osimhen scored 26 goals in 32 games in Serie A last season, became the Serie A Golden Boot and helped Napoli taste the Serie A title again after 33 years.

The most rumored in recent times is that Arsenal and Chelsea are also interested in Osimhen, especially Chelsea's lack of a reliable striker, with their money-slaving recruitment and reinforcement policy in recent years, it is believed that Osimhen will be effectively bought out.
