At the age of 31, I finally have a warm nest of my own - a three-bedroom and two-living room home, with a construction area of 113 square meters and an area of 87 square meters. During the renovation of this home, I did a lot of preparatory work, and finally chose my favorite French retro style to create my nest. Now, I would like to share my renovation experience with you, and I hope that my experience can inspire you.
First of all, I decided not to set up a suspended ceiling. Given that the ceiling height of the house is not too high, removing the suspended ceiling can make the space appear more open. Instead, there are simple and durable French plaster lines that add a touch of elegance to my home.
In terms of wall treatment, I chose to brush latex paint throughout the house, which is both economical and beautiful. I chose pearl white for the living room, which not only enhances the transparency of the space, but also brings a mysterious beauty. This color scheme is in line with the French retro tone, but also has a modern feel.
I adhere to the concept of "light and hard decoration, heavy soft decoration", because it is quite difficult to change the hard decoration once you are tired of looking at it, while the soft decoration can be changed or updated at any time to keep the atmosphere of the home fresh and vibrant. In terms of furniture selection, I used black and wood as the main colors, with some light-colored small furniture, plus a retro style carpet, and a few bottles of fresh flowers in summer, to create a gentle, leisurely, quiet and comfortable living environment, which makes people linger.
My home is a simple but not simple French retro space. Here, every detail reveals the owner's taste and heart. I hope that my renovation experience can inspire and help those who are preparing to build their dream home, so that we can enjoy life together.
