In terms of temperature, before the end of this month, the temperature in many places in the north and south will continue to rise, and will turn to a higher state than the same period of the year.

Yesterday, rain and snow were scarce in most of the central and eastern regions, and precipitation mainly occurred in the southwest and other places. Monitoring shows that from 8 a.m. yesterday to 6 a.m. today, rain (snow) or sleet occurred in parts of the Sichuan Basin and western Guizhou; light to moderate rain occurred in most parts of Yunnan, heavy rain occurred locally in Xishuangbanna; and freezing rain occurred locally in western Guizhou.

In the next three days, the north will be dominated by sunny and dry weather, and the relative humidity in the northwest, north China, and Huanghuai will be less than 30% in the afternoon; while in the south, the southwest region will continue to maintain a weather pattern of frequent rain and snow, and with the eastward movement of the southern branch trough, the water vapor transport will be strengthened, and the precipitation in the southwest will expand eastward from tonight, gradually affecting the south of the Yangtze River and South China.

The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that today, there will be light snow or sleet in parts of the western mountainous areas of southern Xinjiang, western and southern Tibet, southeastern Sichuan Basin, northwestern Guizhou, and northern Yunnan, with moderate to heavy snow locally. Light to moderate rain occurred in parts of central and southern Yunnan, southern Guizhou, southern Hunan, northern and western southern China.

Tomorrow, there will be light to moderate snow or sleet in parts of northeastern Inner Mongolia, northwestern Heilongjiang, north-central and southeastern Tibet, southern Qinghai, northern Sichuan Plateau, northern Yunnan, and northwestern Guizhou. There was light to moderate rain in parts of southeastern Tibet, southeastern southwest China, western and northern southern China, southwestern Jiangnan, and Taiwan Island.

The day after tomorrow, there will be light snow or sleet in parts of northeastern Inner Mongolia, northern Heilongjiang, western mountainous areas of southern Xinjiang, eastern Tibet, southern Qinghai, and western Sichuan Plateau. There was light to moderate rain in parts of the eastern and southern parts of Southwest China, the central and western parts of Jiangnan, and the central and western parts of South China.

Meteorological experts reminded that on the first day of the Spring Festival, there was not much precipitation on the mainland, mainly in the southwest, and freezing rain may occur locally in western Guizhou and eastern Yunnan. However, with the gradual eastward expansion of precipitation, a new round of large-scale precipitation process in the south is about to be launched. Looking forward to the later period, the rainfall in Jiangnan and South China will increase significantly on the 29th, and the snowfall in the north will also increase around the 31st. During the Spring Festival travel period, it is recommended that the public pay attention to the nowcast, arrange travel plans reasonably, and pay attention to traffic safety.

Temperatures will continue to rise in many places in the south by the end of this month

In terms of temperature, in the coming week, the temperature in many places in the north and south will gradually rise to a state higher than that of the same period in normal years. It is expected that from the 30th to the 31st, the temperature from North China to Jiangnan, South China and other places will reach recent highs, and the maximum temperature of 10 °C will advance northward to the west of Huanghuai. The maximum temperature from southern Jiangnan to southern China can reach more than 15°C, and some areas are expected to return to 20°C.

In the city, the maximum temperature in Hangzhou will reach 15 °C on the 30th, which is comparable to the level of the local average in mid or even late March, and on the 31st, the maximum temperature in Fuzhou will be 24 °C, about 10 °C higher than the same period in normal years.

Under the influence of frequent rain and snow, the temperature in the southwest and western parts of South China continues to be sluggish, such as Nanning, where the maximum temperature for four days is about 10 °C, but the local temperature will also rise on the 30th, and the maximum temperature will quickly rise to 20 °C on the 31st, turning from cool to warm. The public in the above areas are reminded to adjust their attire in time according to the temperature change to avoid catching a cold.
