On January 26, the reporter learned from CNOOC Tianjin Branch that Asia's first oil and gas processing and shore power equipment co-construction platform - Chengbei Oilfield CEPC (Central Platform) was successfully put into operation in Bohai Oilfield, the largest crude oil production base in China.
The so-called new model of co-construction refers to the joint construction of high-voltage transmission equipment and oil and gas processing equipment on the same platform, which is equivalent to directly installing a shore power "heart" on the traditional central processing platform. This development model can enable Chengbei Oilfield to connect to green power from land through shore power facilities, bid farewell to the history of "self-power generation" in offshore oilfields, reduce the consumption of natural gas and crude oil brought by "self-power generation" at sea, and further realize the green development of offshore oil and gas resources.
As an innovative project for the green and low-carbon development of Bohai Oilfield, this model is applied for the first time in Asia, exploring a new path for energy conservation and carbon reduction in offshore oilfields in mainland China in the future. After the new platform is put into production, it will also promote the Chengbei Oilfield to usher in a new round of peak production growth.
It is understood that the Chengbei Oilfield, located in the southwest of the Bohai Sea, is the first oilfield in the mainland to carry out foreign cooperation, and it is also the first modern oilfield in China's waters to be built in full accordance with international norms and standards. Since it was put into operation in 1985, Chengbei Oilfield has contributed more than 13 million tons of crude oil, making it the oilfield with the highest degree of heavy oil recovery in Bohai Oilfield.
In the early stage of the development of Chengbei Oilfield, there were two platforms, A and B, and the newly built CEPC is the third central platform built in the 39 years since Chengbei Oilfield was put into operation. The platform is an 8-legged 8-main pile platform, with a height of more than 10 floors and a total weight of nearly 15,000 tons, which is the core equipment of the Chengbei Oilfield Adjustment/Caofeidian 21-3 Oilfield Development Project. In the whole project, the Bohai Oilfield will further promote the "old trees and new sprouts" of the Chengbei Oilfield through the construction of new platforms, offshore pipes, submarine cables, workover rigs and the development of a number of new production wells, injecting new momentum into the green development of the mainland offshore oilfield.
