Today, I would like to introduce a salty and sweet dish of "teriyaki tofu", although the recipe uses frozen tofu, you can also use plate tofu or fried tofu instead. Tofu is rich in plant-based protein, and is recommended by dietitians and physicians alike.
Material:
Frozen tofu about 20 small pieces (please de-ice frozen items first, you can replace them with plate tofu and fried tofu)
3 tablespoons white powder
3 tablespoons cooking oil
Sauces:
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tbsp mirin (can be replaced by mixing cooking wine and sugar in a ratio of about 3:1; if you don't add alcohol, you can replace it with water and sugar)
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon vinegar
A pinch of chopped green onion
White sesame seeds a little
Directions:
Step 1: Put all the ingredients of the sauce into one bowl and mix well.
Step 2: After gently squeezing out the excess water in the frozen tofu (do not press vigorously to avoid breaking), put it in a plastic bag, then add too white powder and gently shake the bag to let the tofu be stained with too white powder, and it doesn't matter if it is not evenly stained.
Step 3: Heat the cooking oil in a frying pan and fry the tofu until lightly colored on both sides.
Step 4: Pour the seasoning into the pot and continue to cook so that the tofu absorbs the sauce on both sides, and the sauce is slightly dried (no need to dry it all), and then it is ready to serve.
Finally, you can sprinkle a little green onion and white sesame seeds to add aroma~
