In order to effectively do a good job in the prevention and response of low temperature and freezing weather, and eliminate the potential safety hazards of highway safety to the greatest extent, the Shinshu Highway Center is on standby and sticks to the front line 24 hours a day to ensure smooth traffic.
On January 22, the Shinshu Highway Center launched an emergency plan for severe weather in winter to prepare for windy, rainy, snowy and freezing weather. Previously, according to the meteorological department's early warning of low temperature, rain, snow and freezing weather, the center had arranged personnel to be on duty and inspect in advance, and prepared sufficient materials such as snow melting agent, cold replenishment, sacks, shovels, pickaxes, signs and signs.
The center actively organized personnel to increase the intensity of inspections on the whole line, and carried out regular inspections on the sections prone to snow and ice such as Chaoyang Fengxi Bridge, Shaxi Xinjiang Bridge, and level crossings, set up warning signs, spread snow melting agents in a timely manner, and manually shoveled ice and snow; Landslides; Investigate and clean up trees along highways to prevent broken branches from hurting people and vehicles; comprehensively inspect and dredge drainage facilities such as side ditches and culverts to ensure smooth drainage, eliminate hidden dangers of icing on the road, and prevent vehicle skidding accidents; conduct a general survey of potholes, cracks and other diseases on the road surface, seize the good weather in time to repair the diseases, and prevent rain and snow from invading and forming water sections.
As of January 23, the Xinzhou Highway Center dispatched a total of 60 people, invested 14 tons of snow melting agent, 8 machines, 800 non-skid sacks, 320 safety cones, 16 warning signs, cleaned up 2 fallen trees, and repaired 12 potholes in an emergency.
