2024 Alumni Association Chinese University Rankings

author:The red star flashes 9

On January 16, the Alumni Association Network, a well-known third-party university evaluation agency in China, officially released the "2024 Alumni Association Chinese University Rankings". This ranking is to better guide students to fill in the application and provide a practical reference. The ranking of the alumni association is more practical, not only limited to academic level, but a comprehensive ranking, which reflects the cost-effectiveness of each university.

In this ranking, Peking University and Tsinghua University, two traditional famous universities, are still firmly in the first echelon. Although Tsinghua University is ranked first in most rankings, followed by Peking University, Peking University is considered the most cost-effective school to apply for in this ranking, ranking first. Tsinghua University followed with a narrow score difference, with a score of 99.37 based on Peking University's 100 points.

In the actual application, the choice of Tsinghua University or Peking University largely depends on personal preferences and professional preferences. Tsinghua University is undoubtedly a better choice for engineering-oriented majors, while Peking University has more advantages for literature, history and philosophy majors.

In the second echelon of rankings, the scores of Fudan, Zhejiang University and Shanghai Jiaotong are closely aligned, and the score difference is very small. In particular, Fudan and Zhejiang University are only 0.04 points apart. Given the statistical fluctuations, this gap is almost negligible. In fact, the difference of 1 point in the ranking is negligible. As a result, these three schools can almost tie for third place.

In recent years, the third-place position has always been contested between these three schools. For such rankings, personal preferences and professional preferences are particularly important. From the perspective of the upward momentum of the school, Zhejiang University has shown a slightly stronger momentum than the two universities in Shanghai.

For young people, Hangzhou, as a city full of entrepreneurial energy, may be more attractive. Of course, if you are more inclined to work in a large company, Shanghai is undoubtedly a better choice. But life in Shanghai is relatively stressful, so in terms of value for money, Hangzhou may be more suitable for young people. Therefore, from this point of view, it is more advantageous to choose Zhejiang University than Fudan University or Shanghai Jiaotong University.

The third echelon has Nanjing University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and University of Science and Technology of China, although the ranking ranks Huazhong University of Science and Technology very high, even more than the "Hua Five" University of Science and Technology of China, but the scores of the three schools are still very similar, the score difference is only within one point, and all of them are more than 75 points. Although there is a certain gap compared to the previous two schools, this gap is not very large.

Taken together, these three schools are all very good institutions. Nanjing University and USTC, two of the "China Five" universities, can occupy higher positions in many rankings. Overall, Huawu University is still the second best university after Qingbei. Therefore, I think these two universities in China 5 are also very ideal choices.

Huazhong University of Science and Technology has been able to achieve such a high ranking, in large part because of its advantages in terms of employment. As a top university in Wuhan, a major education city, Huazhong University of Science and Technology has an excellent employment level and is very cost-effective. The admission score is relatively low, but the employment situation is not inferior to that of the five universities in China, especially in the field of engineering. Therefore, Huazhong University of Science and Technology is indeed an excellent school. However, it may be a bit too aggressive to rank it above USTC.

The fourth echelon includes Nankai University, Wuhan University and Chinese Renmin University, with the National People's Congress as the dividing line, and the schools after them are rated as 7-star universities, and almost all the schools before the National People's University are 8-star world-class universities. It is worth mentioning that Nankai University is the only exception among the 8-star universities.

The reason why Nankai University can achieve such a high ranking is mainly based on its cost-effective application. As a prestigious university with a long history, Nankai University is very strong. Although Tianjin's status has declined in recent years, and Nankai's status has also been affected to a certain extent, its foundation is still very strong. As a result, Nankai doesn't have a high admission score as well as other top schools, but the overall quality of its education is very high. In addition, graduates of Nankai University also have a wide range of employment opportunities in the job market. As a result, Nankai University is seen as a cost-effective option and the only 7-star university in the top 12.

Wuhan University and Renmin University are both institutions of higher learning with a long history, but they suffer slightly in the rankings. The main reason is that the disciplines of these two schools are biased towards literature, history and philosophy, and engineering is relatively weak. This subject bias has affected the school's overall ranking to some extent. Despite this, both schools are very strong in their own right and have deep credentials. Especially for students who want to enter the system for development, Renmin University is the best choice besides Qingbei.

From Sun Yat-sen University, which is ranked 12th, to Tianjin University, which is ranked 20th, these schools are all seven-star universities with excellent performance. These schools are basically 985 universities in developed provinces, with high academic standards and teaching quality. The common denominator of these schools is that they are all leaders in higher education in their respective provinces, and although they may not be among the top schools in the country, they have a high reputation and influence in their respective regions.

In contrast, eight-star universities are among the top in the country, while seven-star universities are among the best in their respective provinces. With the exception of Beijing and Shanghai, it is difficult for two superstar universities to coexist in other regions. As a result, schools such as Sun Yat-sen University in Guangdong, Harbin Institute of Technology in Northeast China, Xi'an Jiaotong University in Shaanxi, Shandong University in Shandong, Sichuan University in Sichuan, and Xiamen University in Fujian all have high reputations and influences in their respective provinces.

In Beijing, there are two seven-star universities, namely Beijing Normal University and Beihang University. Several schools in Beijing have great influence throughout the country, mainly due to Beijing's special status. And in Shanghai, Tongji University is also a very famous school. Unfortunately, due to the strength of Fudan and Shangjiao, Tongji can only be ranked as a seven-star university.

The seven-star universities in the 12th to 20th bracket are all excellent schools in the country, and these schools are suitable for students who are not in Beijing and Shanghai. If you can't hit the higher-ranked eight-star universities, it is very cost-effective to apply for the seven-star universities in the province. In the province, these schools will have lower admission scores, and employment will be guaranteed.

Of course, there are some schools that do not make it into the top 20, which is a bit regrettable. For example, Southeast University in Jiangsu Province has the strength to make it into the top 20, and Jilin University from Northeast China, which is also a very strong school, is a pity that it did not make it into the top 20.

In general, seven-star schools are cost-effective choices, and in the case of not being able to impact eight-star universities, seven-star schools are definitely the first choice in the province. Today, I will give you a preliminary interpretation here, and readers are welcome to leave a message in the comment area and write what you have in mind.
