The production of high-purity manganese sulfate and manganese dioxide process technology using low-lean manganese ore and sulfur-containing flue gas

The process technology of producing high-purity manganese sulfate and manganese dioxide using low-grade manganese ore and sulfur-containing flue gas is suitable for the production of high-purity manganese sulfate, high-purity and high-performance electrolytic manganese dioxide for secondary lithium-ion batteries using low-grade manganese carbonate ore and soft manganese ore, as well as the desulfurization treatment and resource utilization of sulfur-containing flue gas in sulfur-containing flue gas.

The basic principle of this technology is: first, the use of sulfur dioxide and oxygen in the sulfur-containing flue gas and low-grade manganese carbonate and soft manganese ore for gas-liquid redox reaction, so that the sulfur dioxide is converted into sulfate and obtain manganese sulfate solution at the same time, realizing the synchronous resource of sulfur dioxide and low-grade manganese sulfate and soft manganese ore in the sulfur-containing flue gas; the second is to use the patented technology of vulcanization - acidification to refine the crude manganese sulfate solution produced by flue gas desulfurization, synchronously separated potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium and all heavy metal elements, and prepared a high-purity manganese sulfate solution The third is the use of high-purity manganese sulfate solution, after refining, evaporation and crystallization, the production of secondary lithium-ion batteries for high-purity manganese sulfate products; the fourth is the use of high-purity manganese sulfate solution, after re-refining, special electrolysis and post-treatment process, the production of high-purity high-performance electrolytic manganese dioxide products, applied to lithium-ion secondary batteries and high-performance, high-power primary alkaline batteries.

High-purity manganese sulfate products have been applied in Enterprises including Toda of Japan, Umicore of Belgium, ECOPRO of South Korea and Zhenhua Technology of China, and high-performance electrolytic manganese dioxide products have been applied to enterprises including Duracell of the United States, Panasonic of Japan, Nanfu of China and so on. This technology has been effectively applied in Guizhou Red Star Development Dalong Manganese Industry Co., Ltd., with an annual use of 66,000 tons of low-grade manganese ore, which not only makes low-cost use of manganese ore resources, but also provides new manganese resource utilization and development space for manganese products such as manganese sulfate, high-purity manganese sulfate, electrolytic manganese metal manganese, electrolytic manganese dioxide products, flue gas desulfurization and other industries, and opens up a new way for a large number of low-grade manganese ore in China to prepare and produce manganese products.
