Dylan Isaacs, a 30-year-old man from southwestern Ontario, was shot and killed outside an NFL football game in Miami on Sunday night.
He is a man who loves life, is always happy and laughs, and is very good to everyone.
His mother, Susan Isaacs, described him as "quite a characteristic", a dutiful son who loved his family and was a loyal friend.
Isaacs is also an avid basketball player and a die-hard fan of the Buffalo Beals football team, his mother said.
Shortly before he was killed on Jan. 7, Isaacs said her son attended a Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Beals game with a couple of friends and happened to meet some distant cousins.
His mother shared that the last time they talked was on the night during the game, via video call.
A few hours later, Isaacs said she received a call from a friend of Dylan telling her that Dylan had been shot multiple times not far from Hard Rock Stadium. First responders resuscitated, but he died at the scene shortly before nightfall. The motorists fled the scene.
Dylan's mother told CTV News that her son died on his late best friend's birthday.
"They're together in heaven now," she said. I know they're together. ”
