It must be known that the arrogant Zhang Lingfu, the first ace of the unified national army, reorganized the 74th Division of 30,000 people, was besieged by Su Yu's 100,000 army, but it was wiped out in Menglianggu in only three days. You can say that these two battles, what terrain is different, the situation is different, etc., in short, find out a lot of differences.
But the problem is different, Chen Mingren led a miscellaneous card, even a new soldier, but Zhang Lingfu led the first trump card of the national army, this alone can't wash Zhang Lingfu's wash, right? Therefore, Chen Mingren's Siping Battle was 100 percent a miracle for the national army.

On July 22, 1947, it was he who proposed that he must be promoted to a person who had meritorious service in the Battle of Siping, and the main general Chen Mingren must be promoted from major general to lieutenant general.
Seeing this, some people may be confused: Was Chen Mingren only a major general before? Yes and no, he is a lieutenant general in terms of his rank (not in the compilation), but in terms of the rank of Quanxu (in the compilation), he is only a major general. This situation also happened to Liao Yaoxiang, whose rank was lieutenant general, but the rank of Quanxu was only that of cavalry colonel......
Obviously, Chen Cheng strongly recommended Chen Mingren to be "incorporated" as a lieutenant general. Chiang Kai-shek naturally agreed, after all, the credit was too great. Unexpectedly, only eight days later, Chen Cheng asked for a reward for Chen Mingren again, as follows.

This made Chen Cheng quite unhappy.
What do I mean? I have done this for your benefit, and now it is your boss again, and you want to talk to Chiang Kai-shek, so what has become of me? This is actually the origin of the contradiction between Chen Mingren and Chen Cheng. The author calls it: the "chemical reaction" after the intestines (Chen Cheng) meet the rectum (Chen Mingren).
So what was Chiang Kai-shek's attitude? It can only be said that Chen Mingren wrongfully killed Chen Cheng, because Chiang Kai-shek had always disliked and even rejected Chen Mingren. If it weren't for Chen Cheng opening his mouth and stretching out his hand, it is estimated that Chiang Kai-shek would not have taken the initiative to give Chen Mingren so many benefits. As for the evidence, it is in Chiang Kai-shek's diary.
As early as June 15, 1947, when the Battle of Siping was in full swing, Chiang Kai-shek scolded Chen Mingren in his diary, as follows.
Siping Street was besieged by the enemy for several days. Chen Mingren's lack of command is very worrying. However, it can still be maintained, and it is fortunate that it has not been trapped.
Later, he sent a telegram to Air Force Commander Wang Shuming, saying: If Sipingguo can turn the crisis into safety and ensure that it is not lost, then the Air Force will be the first to make a contribution.
What does it mean to deviate from the general spectrum? Just look at Chiang Kai-shek. God knows, how could he have such an unearthly thinking, and even think that if the Battle of Siping is won, the Air Force will be the first merit.
This can only show that Chiang Kai-shek has always rejected Chen Mingren, and the reason for this is that Chen Mingren is a straight man of steel, not only does he not slap his beard, but he always speaks out, poking his lungs again and again.
Sure enough, after the Battle of Siping turned from danger to peace, when Chiang Kai-shek saw that all major newspapers and periodicals and war reports praised Chen Mingren, Chiang Kai-shek said, "What do you all know?" In fact, the public thought that the bravery of the defenders was commendable. However, Siping Street ensures that the merits of the Air Force are also indelible.
That is, from the outbreak to the end of the Battle of Siping, Chiang Kai-shek hid in Nanjing, and he had long been "insightful" of everything ahead. On the one hand, Chen Mingren did a good job, but the most important reason was that the air force was too powerful. So the Air Force is the first credit - then who can mobilize the Air Force, of course, it is me Jiang.
That's what it means. To put it bluntly, who made you Chen Mingren achieve such a big victory, but did not attribute the credit to President Jiang's wisdom and martial arts, and used the "Rulai Divine Palm (Air Force)", but you know that you are boasting?
Speaking of which, Chen Mingren is too straight. Therefore, when he had a conflict with Chen Cheng again, he naturally didn't want to have good fruits to eat. So in this way, Chen Cheng began to fabricate accusations against Chen Mingren, and Chiang Kai-shek praised him behind his back, and Chen Mingren soon became a sinner......
Four months after Chen Mingren was dismissed, Siping was lost. The 71st Army, which had fought bloody battles for more than half a month and resolutely refused to retreat, was reimbursed after only resisting for 23 hours this time. I really don't know if Principal Jiang's face is hot or not......
Because this is all Chiang Kai-shek, the bitter fruit brewed by himself, it is too chilling, so later General Chen Mingren resolutely rebelled in Changsha, and this is what - following Chiang Kai-shek is not only no future, but the key is that it is too chilling.
