In 1959, Yang Quanfang took over the "maintenance rod" and officially became a road maintenance worker, and worked diligently in the highway industry for 14 years.
In 1972, after Yang Quanfang received the notice to work in the Jiama Stone Road Class, he immediately packed his backpack and rushed from the Daqiao River Maintenance Station to the Jiama Stone Road Class as the squad leader, and he worked for more than 20 years.
Under his leadership, the Jiama Stone Class has been commended by governments at all levels for more than 40 times, created many glorious histories, and won the "National Top Ten Taoist Classes" in 1990.
Yang Quanfang was awarded the "National Advanced Squad Leader" and the "May Day Labor Medal" in 1985, and was awarded the title of "Model Worker" by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government in 1989.
Dozens of commendations from all levels have made Yang Quanfang a role model for countless highway people to learn, and the Jiama Stone Road Class has also become an industry benchmark under his leadership.

The pavement paved through such careful material selection is not only hard and wear-resistant, but also has a good quality, and is also called "coffee-colored pavement" because of its beautiful color.

The implementation of the five fixed (fixed mileage, fixed personnel, fixed machinery and equipment, fixed funds, fixed tasks) five guarantees (including investment, good road rate, package attendance, package safety production, package civilization construction) economic contracting responsibility system, according to the 100-point system for assessment, monthly spot checks, quarterly scoring, annual general evaluation, rewards and punishments once cashed. These methods have made a certain gap in the distribution of bonuses, overcome egalitarianism, and greatly mobilize the enthusiasm of the workers in the class.
Build homes diligently and stabilize people's hearts
In the past few years, the production and living conditions of road maintenance workers were very difficult.
Yang Quanfang led all the comrades to conscientiously implement the policy of "three-level home building" in the general section of Shuicheng, carry forward the spirit of self-reliance, put into work, and actively participate in the construction activities of the Taoist class.
In the golden autumn season, the fruit tree seedlings in the orchard bear fruitful fruits, an acre of land in the courtyard is planted with a variety of vegetables, the annual output reaches more than 1,500 kilograms, the Taoist canteen can be completely self-sufficient, the workers have built their own pigsty, raise 1-2 pigs every year, dig a fish pond, and raise more than 300 fish. A new bathhouse was built, and various living facilities such as two four-person sofas, a washing machine, and two dining tables were added, which improved the lives of employees to a greater extent. Working and living in such an environment, the happiness and sense of belonging of employees are more and more improved, and every employee takes care of the class as their own family.
Attach importance to education and standardize management
In order to better maintain the highway and lead the employees, Yang Quanfang thought of a set of his own management methods and took the lead in complying with them.
"In order to improve the management level of the Taoist class, we must first pay attention to the education of workers, and the ideological and political work must be regularized and institutional......ized," Yang Quanfang thought.
Since becoming the shift leader, he has set up a leading group with the squad leader, the head of the trade union and the statistician as the core, and every week the workers of the Taoist class have been organized to collectively study the knowledge of politics, business, culture, safety production and highway maintenance. Some employees are not clear about the technical knowledge of road maintenance, so he patiently explains, and even teaches hand-in-hand until the employees understand and learn well.
In order to enrich the learning life of the staff, Yang Quanfang subscribed to more than 10 kinds of mainstream newspapers and magazines for the class for the staff to learn, and organized various activities such as revolutionary traditional education, law popularization education, professional ethics education, road maintenance technical specification education and advanced deeds of heroes and models.
Nowadays, under various management systems, the work of the Jiama Stone Road Class has become more and more standardized.
