A wonderful traditional Chinese medicine that helps yang qi, clears blood and veins, disperses wind and cold, and is also anti-virus, anti-tumor and anti-anxiety

author:Kamiki Garden

Among the animals, the big rooster is not modest to say that "I am the first to be pretty", and in the formula, Guizhi Tang undoubtedly says that "the scenery is unique here". Originally, Guizhi, as the gentleman medicine of Guizhi Tang, should have been a traditional Chinese medicine that dominates the list since "Treatise on Typhoid Fever and Miscellaneous Diseases", but no one expected that "Zhong Ni did not say anything and said nothing, and the seventy sons were mourned and righteous and obedient" happened to Guizhi Tang. Xu Shuwei, a famous scholar of Hanlin in the Song Dynasty and an outstanding medical scientist, was very emotional, he said that Guizhi Tang "topped the list in the 13 squares of Zhongjing", but it is regrettable that "people today do not use it at all", and the root cause of this fall from the altar is that "future generations cannot see through it, so they dare not use it". In this case, if you want to make a speech about the flavor of Chinese medicine, it can only say "a whole speechless".

In the "Treatise on Typhoid Fever and Miscellaneous Diseases" by the medical saint Zhang Zhongjing, Guizhi Tang is not only a prescription, but a prescription, which can also be said to be a Fang family, which has a pivotal and important position in all the Jing Fang systems, but why did Guizhi and Guizhi Tang gradually "plummet" since Zhongjing? Zhang Zhongjing, the medical saint, also said that he could not understand this, and could only laugh at himself with Tang Yin's "others laugh at me for being too crazy, and I laugh at others who can't see through it." In fact, as the crown of the group of medicines, why is there such a huge disparity in the status of ancient and modern people? In fact, the most important thing is that in the process of inheriting traditional Chinese medicine in ancient times, there was a discontinuity in the classical Chinese medicine culture, so that the medical saint Zhang Zhongjing's rational prescription was once lost. Therefore, if you want to uncover the code of the scriptures, you have to trace, verify and study the prescriptions and medicines used by Zhongjing.

A wonderful traditional Chinese medicine that helps yang qi, clears blood and veins, disperses wind and cold, and is also anti-virus, anti-tumor and anti-anxiety

Speaking of the Chinese medicine of Guizhi, which is very loved by the medical saint Zhang Zhongjing, in fact, its origin is very early, and it is a very widespread and common plant in ancient times, but because its name has not been unified in ancient times, it has been misunderstood and misrepresented in the process of inheritance. As early as in the "Fifty-two Prescriptions", there are three kinds of Chinese medicinal materials that are "related to cinnamon", "cinnamon", "fungus cinnamon", and "beautiful cinnamon", but these three have nothing to do with osmanthus. In the "Fifty-two Prescriptions", Gui is mainly used to treat diseases such as "Ju (gangrene), scabs, hemorrhoids, nesters, injuries, and Gu", while in the Wuwei Han Dynasty Medical Brief, Gui is mainly used to treat hoarseness, Zhu (疒夅), henchmen and confidants, Jin Chuangyi, long-term cough and upper qi, long-term cough and reverse qi, and long-term diarrhea [1]. This fully shows that the traditional Chinese medicine of Gui is not only widely used in ancient times, but also an extremely common and ordinary traditional Chinese medicine.

Because for a long time in ancient times, the Chinese medicine community has followed the principle of "the principle must be the internal scripture, the law must be the middle of the scene, and the medicine must be the scripture", although the appearance frequency of the traditional Chinese medicine of guizhi in the "Treatise on Typhoid Fever and Miscellaneous Diseases" is super high, but in the "Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica" there is no record of the Chinese medicine of guizhi in the name of "Guizhi". Open the "Shennong's Materia Medica", there are two main flavors of traditional Chinese medicine related to "cinnamon", one is osmanthon, and the other is fungus cinnamon, but for a long time in ancient times, it was not clear what these two kinds of "cinnamon" were, and Zhongjing used cinnamon branches, and most of them added the word "peeled" in terms of processing, which made the Chinese medicine of cinnamon sticks cinnamon or cinnamon, which made people uncertain and controversial. It is precisely because the work of tracing the origin of the Chinese medicine of Guizhi has not been done to the extreme, therefore, in the time of thousands of years, the traditional Chinese medicine of Guizhi, which can be called the "king of 100 medicines" and "the crown of group medicines", has started the journey of "Waterloo".

In fact, the role of cinnamon branches, in the "Shennong Materia Medica" has been basically clear its role, first from the indications, emphasizing the strong role of cinnamon in "upper qi cough reversal, qi throat paralysis, spitting and shalting" and other diseases, but also pointed out that the cinnamon branch has the main effect of "good joints, tonifying the middle and invigorating qi", not only that, but also further pointed out that the health of cinnamon branches, can be "long-term service and spirit, light body and not old". The role of Guizhi has been widely studied by doctors in the past dynasties, but among the doctors of the past dynasties, Zou Shu, a famous doctor in the Qing Dynasty, has a unique view of Guizhi, and summarizes the six major functions of Guizhi, one is "Heying", the second is "Tongyang", the third is "Lishui", the fourth is "Xiaqi", the fifth is "phlegm", and the sixth is "replenishing the middle"; Huang Yuanyu, a famous doctor in the Qing Dynasty, also praised the wonderful use of Guizhi, and believed that Guizhi has six groups of important clinical effects, one is "entering the liver and carrying blood, walking the meridians and reaching Yingyu"; The third is to "ascend to clear the yang and fall off, and reduce the turbidity and yin to rush against the reversal"; the fourth is to "relax the muscles and veins and relieve the resistance of the joints"; the fifth is to "enter the liver and gallbladder and disperse and suppress, and extremely relieve pain; through the meridians and open the paralysis and astringency, and even remove the dampness and cold"; the sixth is "to stop the running dolphin and make it more peaceful and palpitating". Therefore, it is said that Guizhi "has the greatest merit and the most extensive application", and is called "the crown of group medicines", which is completely deserved.

For Guizhi Medicine, its compatibility is completely its plus point, and reasonable compatibility will make Guizhi Medicine shine in clinical practice. As the classic medicine pair of Guizhi, there are both the same kind of mustache, and there is each other, Guizhi ephedra medicine pair, can not only send the depression of the guard, but also can penetrate the evil of the camp, seek each other, complement each other, play the role of opening the lungs and spreading the wind and cold; Disperse cold and relieve pain; Guizhi gypsum medicine is used for cold and heat, one xuan and one convergence, one cold and one warm, warm but not dry, cold but not contained, both internal and external, make each other; Guizhi peony medicine belongs to the scattered harvest matching, one harvest and one scattered, open and close each other, in the external adjustment and camp health, in the internal harmony of yin and yang, through the regulation of blood and veins; Guizhi Dihuang medicine belongs to the yin and yang tonic supplement, can play a nourishing but not greasy, The effect of warm but not dry; Guizhi gum medicine is used in combination with dryness, one dry and one moist, one urgent and one slow, and the sweetness turns yang, which plays a role in the warmth and urgency to replenish the deficiency; Guizhi Zhimu medicine is a combination of movement and static, one temperature and one clear, and each other makes each other, which can achieve the wonderful use of dispelling evil without harming the positive and nourishing yin without leaving evil; Guizhi Ejiao medicine pair belongs to the combination of movement and static, one line and one supplement, and the combination of movement and static, which can not only play the role of "producing blood without hindering qi and blood flow, and benefiting blood generation", but also prevent the disadvantages of pungent and warm and yin consumption[2].

For example, the independent prescription of horn medicine includes cinnamon branch, banxia and licorice, which mainly play the role of clearing the yang and dissipating cold, cleansing phlegm and opening knots; cinnamon branches, ginger and citrus aurantium mainly play the role of warming yang and turning drink, and reducing qi and inversion; if it is used as the main part of the prescription, there are also many horn medicines, such as cinnamon branches, peony and liskin, which are the main medicines for harmonizing camp and guarding; cinnamon branches, aconite, and licorice are the main medicines for dispelling evil spirits and relieving the surface and warming yang qi; Licorice is the main medicine for diluting water and drinking, leveling and reducing adversity; cinnamon branches, ephedra and almonds are the main medicines for relieving the cold and relieving the lungs and relieving cough; cinnamon branches, ephedra and pueraria are the main medicines for relieving the surface and dredging the meridians and channels; cinnamon branches, ephedra and schisandra are the main medicines for relieving the surface of the surface and relieving the water and relieving the lungs; cinnamon branches, astragalus membranaceus and peony are the main medicines for invigorating qi and yang, harmonizing and reconciling the camp and health; cinnamon branches, dry ginger and coptis are the main medicines for clearing the upper and lower temperatures and clearing the upper and lower yang qi and Xuantong upper and lower yang; and guizhi, bupleurum and skullcap are the main medicines for reconciling the Shaoyang and relieving the surface and relieving the yang[3].

Although the traditional Chinese medicine of cinnamon branch has gradually faded out of the popular rivers and lakes in the inheritance of the past generations, the research on it in modern pharmacology has been persevering. Pharmacological studies have found that cinnamon has pharmacological effects such as antipyretic, analgesic, sedative, anticonvulsant, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antibacterial, antiviral, dilating peripheral blood vessels, accelerating body temperature recovery, improving cardiac function, increasing coronary flow, diuretic and other pharmacological effects[4]. Throughout ancient and modern times, Guizhi is a medicine, indeed powerful, but the main core is to help yang qi, blood and blood, and disperse wind and cold, but because the doctors of the past dynasties did not safely follow the idea of "the reason must be the internal scripture, the law must be Zhongjing, and the medicine must be the scripture", the Guizhi branch was gradually squeezed out of the core circle in the development of later generations, and became an ordinary commonly used Chinese medicine, which is a bit regrettable. Although the effect of cinnamon branch medicine is strong, but it is not omnipotent, after all, cinnamon branch is warm and warm, and it is easy to hurt yin and blood, so do not use cinnamon branch for warm fever, yin deficiency and yang sheng, as well as various bleeding syndromes of blood fever in vain; In addition, in terms of the method of resting, do not eat cold, raw and cold, spicy and greasy foods when using cinnamon branches, so as not to aggravate the condition.
