Surabaya is long, ancient and majestic. With a history of 1,000 years, Sijing Ancient Town adheres to the principle of "repairing the old as the old", and has completed the renovation of 19 cultural relics, including the former residence of Shi Liangcai, the former residence of Ma Xiangbo, the Ma family hall, and the Shengshu pine house, with a total area of 12,000 square meters.
The ancient town is open
The history of Sijing Ancient Town stretches for thousands of years, and the market town can be traced back to the Yuan Dynasty, known as "the eighteen towns in the east of the county, the first town in Sijing". In 2014, Xiatang Village, Sijing Town, was awarded the "Famous Historical and Cultural Towns and Villages in China". In 2018 and 2021, Sijing Town won the honor of "Hometown of Shanghai Folk Culture and Art" twice. In March 2023, Sijing Ancient Town was officially opened, and 10 cultural and tourism enterprises, including Zhao's Workshop, Hilton Gerui Hotel, Jinshi Cultural Center, Yichi Garden, and Yueyou Tanuki Cultural and Creative Center, signed contracts and settled down, becoming one of the landmark achievements of the rebirth of the historical and cultural landscape area in the district.

The commercial street of Sijing Ancient Town was rated as a characteristic commercial block in Songjiang District in 2023 and the first batch of demonstration areas for the integrated development of culture and tourism in Songjiang District.
"Technology +" empowers cultural tourism
Sijing Town strives to build a new Sijing Ancient Town, with a distinctive brand IP logo, benchmarking the goal of "having fireworks in the world, full of fashion and artistic sense", and exploring "science and technology +" to empower cultural tourism. The sound and light show "Light Painting Sijing" is deeply loved by citizens and tourists, and is regularly staged in Anfang Pagoda Park as a reserved program, continuously showing a visual feast with both a sense of science and technology and Chinese style for citizens and tourists.
Paulan Hall
Baolun Hall, also known as Wangjia Hall, was built in the middle of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of more than 300 years. Baolun Hall is divided into two axes, east and west, each wide and three bays, and is one of the existing large-scale mansions in Sijing Ancient Town. Although the Wangjia Hall has been renovated several times in hundreds of years, it still retains the traditional and exquisite halls and corridors such as the Crane Shin Xuan, the Boat Canopy Xuan, the Bow Xuan, and the Walking Horse Building, as well as all kinds of exquisitely carved wood grains. In September 2023, the Yichi Garden (Baolun Tang) store will be officially opened to the public, relying on the rich historical and cultural heritage of Sijing Ancient Town, to create a slow life and weekend destination under Chinese aesthetics, and provide a new leisure place for tourists and surrounding residents who come to the ancient town.
Zhao's Workshop
In November 2023, Zhao's Workshop in Sijing Old Street was unveiled, creating an artistic shared space focusing on Yue Opera and traditional drama performances, promoting the further integration of Sijing's traditional culture and leisure life.
Fulian Bridge
Fulian Bridge was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, spanning the north and south ends of Sijing Pond, and is the only stone bridge left in the folk song of Sijing Town, "Three Bows and One Arrow". In October 2023, due to safety considerations, the construction and repair of Fulian Bridge was started, and the repair has been completed and successfully passed the acceptance.
Integrity plaque cultural and educational base
In order to strengthen the integrity education of party members and cadres in Sijing Town, combined with the characteristics of the ancient town and the plaque culture, we will build a cultural and educational base for honest plaques in Sijing Old Street.
Majia Hall
Ma Jia Hall is also known as "Fufeng Ma Family Hall", because it is different from the former residence of Ma Xiangbo in Danyang Ma Family Hall, also known as "Ma Sibin Hall", which was originally the residence of the descendants of Ma Yuan, the general of Fubo in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The Majia Hall is a two-story brick and wood double-straw frame structure. The south side of the upstairs is also a straw frame roof. At present, the Majia Hall has been renovated as an intangible cultural heritage base to promote cultural heritage, and at the same time, the new introduction of the Sijing Ancient Town Folk Collection Art Society, which will be opened to the public in the future.
Ancient Town Parking Lot
In order to further facilitate the residents and tourists around Sijing Ancient Town, a temporary parking lot was set up in the model section of the old street, and more than 250 new parking spaces were added. At the same time, in order to bring a better play experience, the parking lot and the surrounding environment of the Kaijiang West Junction of Jiangchuan Road have been optimized as a whole, and the parking lot has been built with artistic railings, taking the skyline of the old street building as the epitome and highlighting the characteristics of Sijing Ancient Town.
Public toilets in the ancient town
After the official opening of Sijing Ancient Town, there is an endless stream of tourists, in order to better meet the toilet needs of citizens and tourists, special public toilets have been set up on the old street. With bamboo forest window grilles and white walls and green tiles, the public toilet fully integrates the cultural characteristics and environmental atmosphere of Sijing Ancient Town, and at the same time strengthens the humanized service and intelligent management of the public toilet, and implements the management model of "one person, one toilet".
