In 1913, Wang Quanyuan was born in a poor peasant family in Ji'an, Jiangxi Province. Because of her poor family background, when she was 8 years old, her family sold the young Wang Quanyuan to others as a child daughter-in-law with only four loads of millet.
During this period, she suffered a lot of grievances in her future in-law's family, not only to endure the beating and scolding of her future husband, but also to do farm work every day. She always wanted to escape from this life.
In 1930, the Red Army entered Wang Quanyuan's hometown and called on the poor people to turn over and become masters.
Hearing the propaganda of the Red Army, Wang Quanyuan was deeply shaken in his heart, and immediately joined this huge peasant movement, and joined the Red Army in March of that year.
After participating in the revolution, Wang Quanyuan showed a high degree of enthusiasm and outstanding work ability, and was soon elected as the county women's captain.
In order to improve herself, Wang Quanyuan entered the senior class of Ruijin Party School to study and Xi.
Due to her illiteracy, Wang Quanyuan had difficulty listening to classes and often could not keep up with the progress of school Xi. Therefore, every day when she passed by President Dong Biwu's office, she would always go in and ask questions.
Dong Biwu saw that she was smart and studious, so he assigned a female comrade to tutor her in reading.

The day before the troops left Zunyi, Cai Chang took Wang Quanyuan to Wang Shoudao's house, and closed the door when she entered the house. Wang Shoudao mustered up his courage: "The organization has approved it, are you willing to marry me?"
Wang Quanyuan blushed and nodded slightly, the two did not hold any ceremony, and became revolutionary partners in this way.
That night, Wang Shoudao gave Wang Quanyuan a pistol and eight bullets, and Wang Quanyuan promised to make a pair of shoes for Wang Shoudao himself.
"This is the Xi custom in our hometown, as long as you wear the shoes I make, no matter where you go or how far you go, you will eventually come back to me......"
It's a pity that this revolutionary couple, who started on the Long March, soon went their separate ways.
After the troops arrived at Lianghekou, Wang Quanyuan remained in the cadre company of the General Health Department, and was later incorporated into the Red Fourth Front Army.
Wang Quanyuan followed the Red Fourth Front Army to the Sichuan-Kang border with great difficulty, crossed the grassland three times, and went through hardships until October 1936, when he joined forces with the Red First and Red Second in Huining, Gansu.
After the end of the Long March, Wang Quanyuan joined the newly established Western Route Army and served as the head of the Women's Pioneer Regiment. Together with Wu Fulian of the Youth League Committee, she led more than 1,300 female soldiers of the Red Army to follow the large army of the Western Route Army to start the tragic and difficult road of the westward expedition.

The cold current in the northwest land is rolling, and it is difficult to find people in the wilderness, and the Western Route Army is advancing along the Hexi Corridor with difficulty, and what awaits them in front is the extremely vicious Ma Jiajun and Hu Zongnan's heavy troops to intercept them.
Under the siege of the enemy, the Western Route Army, which was extremely inferior in terms of strength and firepower, suffered heavy losses.
The Women's Pioneer Regiment serves as the rearguard of the troops, and its combat effectiveness is not weaker than that of male soldiers.
The women's pioneer regiment was surrounded by the Ma family army in Linze, and the female soldiers fought fiercely with the enemy for two days and nights.
Due to the separation from the large army, Wang Quanyuan had to take the remaining female warriors along the edge of the desert and fight, and finally was surrounded by the Ma family army at the mouth of the Liyuan in Nanshan in the Qilian Mountains.
Because of the extreme shortage of ammunition, Wang Quanyuan had to change the previous tactics of fighting day and night and shooting from a long distance, and put the enemy at close range to destroy him.
In order to prevent the enemy from discovering that they were all female soldiers, Wang Quanyuan ordered everyone to paint their faces with yellow mud and cut off their long hair.
Even so, in close combat, the enemy discovered the fact that the troops were all female Red Army.
The enemy commander arrogantly shouted: "Brothers, don't fight, catch me alive, whoever catches me will be his wife!"
Immediately afterwards, the enemy launched a final charge, and more than 600 female soldiers died heroically in the hand-to-hand combat, and Wang Quanyuan and the remaining more than 300 female soldiers were finally captured.
When the enemy learned that Wang Quanyuan was the regiment commander, he immediately escorted her back and assigned her to an engineer regiment commander in the Ma Jiajun as his wife.
Wang Quanyuan had a strong personality and would rather die than obey, and was often severely tortured by the enemy.
After more than two years of torture, Wang Quanyuan was finally able to escape from the cave with the help of a maid. She crossed the road and arrived at the Lanzhou office of the Eighth Route Army in March 1939.
After finding the organization, Wang Quanyuan immediately applied to return to the team, but Wang Quanyuan was in rags at this time and could not take out any items to prove his identity.
And according to the regulations at that time: the policy of receiving the dispersed Western Route Army for one year, examining it for two years, and not collecting it for three years was implemented, and Wang Quanyuan belonged to the third situation.
Due to the inconvenience of transportation and communication at that time, the comrades in the office had to say some words of comfort to her and gave her five yuan to subsidize the travel expenses.
In desperation, Wang Quanyuan reluctantly marched towards his hometown in Jiangxi, wanting to return to Yongxin County to prove his identity.
In April 1939, Wang Quanyuan embarked on the Long March five years ago, begging along the way.
She broke through the Lazikou where countless warriors had shed their blood, and she broke through it again, the muddy and dangerous grassland again, and the snow-capped mountain covered with thousands of years of snow and cold winds, she climbed again.
Along the way, she was almost taken away as a "bride" several times, and saw one after another graves of her Red Army comrades.
She traveled all the way to Gansu, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Hunan and other places, and finally returned to her hometown of Ji'an in July 1942.

Forced by the Kuomintang's repeated "purges" of the Soviet area, Wang Quanyuan had no choice but to conceal his identity.
Under the persuasion of her family, she married a descendant of a martyr named Liu Gaohua, and lived a peaceful life like an ordinary peasant woman.
But in her heart, there has always been a regret, that is, she couldn't return to the organization.
In 1962, Mr. and Mrs. Zhu returned to Jinggangshan and found Wang Quanyuan, who had been lost for many years.
Kang Keqing was very sympathetic to Wang Quanyuan's plight, and found the leader of the prefectural party committee and advised: "Wang Quanyuan is a good comrade, she should be allowed to come out to work." ”

In November 1981, Wang Quanyuan was invited by the All-China Women's Federation to Beijing to attend a gathering of female soldiers of the Red Army.
