Adventurous naturalists have a chance to get the New Year off to a great start. Collect samples, hunt rare animals, take photos of elusive wildlife, and more to enjoy this New Year's bonus.
Dive into nature this month to earn rewards and collectibles to help you embark on your adventures and fight the cold and harsh winters, compete in select series, don new community-inspired outfits to build a focused naturalist look, and more until February 5th.
Naturalist Reward
Narcotify wild animals and sell samples to conservationist Harriet Davenport for double RDO in-game currency and XP rewards to keep your pocket full.
In the Shoot Wild Animals challenge, face a crowd of hostile shooters and stand out as the best hunters, successfully take out large prey and earn points, double RDO in-game currency and experience points. The larger the beast and the rarer the breed, the better. Meanwhile, in the Wildlife Photographer Free-Mode event, explorers who prefer to carry a camera rather than a shotgun can enjoy double RDO in-game currency and XP if they photograph a variety of creatures roaming the map.
Fishing rewards
Calculate your catch for the day and sell fish at the butcher shop to earn triple RDO in-game currency. Plus, earn double RDO in-game currency and XP by catching bluegils, catfish, salmon, and more in the Fishing Challenge Free-Mode event until February 5th.
Naturalist Reward
There are plenty of opportunities this month, with a wide variety of naturalist (and beyond) rewards available until February 5. Players log in to Red Dead Online to receive a free honor change, a Weight Gain Booster, and a Weight Loss Booster.
Entrepreneurial naturalists can earn the Treasure Map of Mount Harvin (West) by selling one sample, and selling 5 samples in any given week will reward them with a black and silver morning meeting tuxedo. At the same time, dedicated animal lovers can earn 5 Legendary Animal Pheromone Rewards by completing a round of Wildlife Photographers, and complete an Animal Sighting to enjoy a 60% discount on a Novice or Beginner Naturalist class item.
In addition, players can receive the following rewards by hunting one Legendary Animal or obtaining a sample of it each week:
· January 9-15: 5 gold bars off the Life Theory Research Handbook
· January 16-22: 60% off one item of the Senior or Distinguished Naturalist profession
· January 23-29: Black & Red Mexican Rider Jacket (Men), Red Loop Knot Skirt (Women)
· January 30 - February 5: Beige raccoon hat
All offers and rewards will be issued within 72 hours of completion.
Double RDO Coin, XP and Gold in Select Series
Fight for survival in this month's Select Series, where you can experience a variety of modes spread across the map, then test your skills in two Hardcore Series to earn double RDO coins, XP, and gold through February 5th:

· January 16-22: Hardcore Speed Capture Series
· January 23-29: Hardcore Knockout Series (Trick Hits: Ancient Hand Axes, Bows & Throwing Knives)
