During the examination, Xu Linnan suddenly fainted, and finally died of sudden cardiac death after all-out rescue. On this day, just a few days before his 59th birthday.

After receiving the work order, Xu Linnan immediately drove a police motorcycle and followed the police to carry out the search work overnight. With his familiarity with the jurisdiction, Xu Linnan quickly searched for bridges, tunnels, squares, construction sites and other places where people might live in the jurisdiction, but found nothing. "There is only one possibility, the old man went along the highway in the direction of Changzhou. With his familiarity with the terrain, he judged that the old man might have gone to Changzhou. After working overnight, sure enough, the Yuqi Police Station found the old man with the assistance of the Changzhou police. The next day, the family members of the elderly sent pennants and letters of thanks to the conscientious and responsible Xu Linnan.
Only with loyalty can we not retreat in the face of danger, and only with sincerity can we pay fearlessly. On December 13, 2023, the Yuqi Police Station received a police report of jumping into the river and committing suicide. Xu Linnan responded quickly from the cantonment point to the scene of the rescue, regardless of his personal safety, he leaned out half of his body by the canal, grabbed the suicide girl with his hand, and finally successfully rescued her ashore.
In 2023 alone, Xu Linnan will participate in more than 1,600 police calls, assist the police in mediating more than 80 disputes, and successively participate in the search for more than 10 lost people, writing extraordinary stories in ordinary posts.

In the two major actions of anti-fraud "Sky Net" and "Heart Shield", the Yuqi Police Station combined the situation of a large rural population and many small streets and alleys in the jurisdiction to set up an electric vehicle fraud propaganda team composed of auxiliary police, and Xu Linnan was one of them. When the crowd called the police at the scene, he immediately took the person back to the police station to dissuade him. Since the beginning of this year, Xu Linnan has carried out more than 60 anti-fraud campaigns for electric vehicles, helping the masses avoid economic losses of more than 200,000 yuan.
As a patrol auxiliary police officer of a grassroots police station, Xu Linnan performed extraordinary in an ordinary position, and even drew a successful end to this career with his life and loyalty.
