Public opinion on the island bitterly criticizes the DPP's "drug syllabus" for flattering Japan
Ou Guizhi, a teacher at Taipei Municipal No. 1 Girls' Senior High School, recently criticized the "de-sinicization" syllabus manipulated by the DPP authorities, that is, the 2019 version of the syllabus is a shameless syllabus, which has aroused heated discussions on the island. The news that the content related to the Diaoyu Islands in the island's syllabus and related textbooks has been deleted and tampered with has also aroused serious concern among people from all walks of life on the island.
According to Taiwan's "China Times News Network," Taiwan's "Diaoyutai Education Association" held a forum yesterday (4 July) afternoon to criticize the drug syllabus and teaching materials manipulated by the DPP authorities for "removing history, losing its stance, and 'anti-mainland' ideology."

Chen Meixia, executive director of the association, said at the symposium that according to the survey, only 10 of the 110 students in the fourth to sixth grades of Nan'an Primary School in Suao, Taiwan, had heard of the Diaoyu Islands. Cai Yuanlong, chairman of the Suao District Fishery Association, asked the students who the Diaoyu Islands belonged to, and the first child to raise his hand said that it was Japanese. Taiwan students are ignorant of the Diaoyu Dao issue, and they cannot escape the blame for the "de-sinicization" of the drug curriculum and textbooks manipulated by the DPP authorities.
Chen Meixia pointed out that the 2019 version of the syllabus does not mention the issue of Diaoyu Dao at all, and the current primary school social textbooks do not introduce the issue of Diaoyu Dao at all, and there is even an illegal Japanese naming of Diaoyu Dao in the textbook. Junior high school history textbooks do not mention the history of the "Baoyu Movement" and the oppression of "Baoyu" patriots by the Japanese government, and the traitorous remarks that "the Diaoyu Islands may be ours or Japan's" appear in high school history textbooks.
Chen Meixia stressed: The DPP authorities have lost their stance on the poisonous syllabus and teaching materials they have developed and have completely fallen into the fog of "anti-mainland" ideology, and it is impossible to use such poisonous syllabus and teaching materials to teach students who have feelings for the Diaoyu Islands and have the "spirit of protecting the Diaoyu Islands."
Au Guizhi also attended the forum, where she sternly questioned Lai Ching-te, the candidate of the 2024 People's Progressive Party (PPP) in Taiwan: "What do you think about the Diaoyu Islands?" Au Guizhi said that as a language teacher, it is difficult for her to introduce incidents related to "Baoyu". In recent years, due to the "drug syllabus" and "poisonous teaching materials" manipulated by the DPP authorities to consciously falsify history, it is very likely that the memory of Diaoyu Dao and "Baoyu" will be erased from the minds of the younger generation of Taiwanese and replaced by the ignorance and even erroneous perception of the Diaoyu Dao issue by the next generation of Taiwanese.
