Yesterday, I made an important decision and I sold all my shares. This day, January 4, 2024, is the day I end my eight-year journey in the stock market. Today, I would like to share my feelings and lessons from this journey.
Eight years ago, I invested 90,000 yuan and stepped into the stock market with enthusiasm. At the same time, I also sold the Ant Fund, which I had held for more than three years. From September 25, 2020 to today, this fund has brought me a loss of nearly 300 yuan. Although I knew it was bound to lose money again eventually, I made this decision anyway. Because I don't want to suffer such losses anymore, I don't want to be bothered by the stock market anymore.
In those eight years or so, I have experienced many ups and downs and fluctuations. Sometimes I'm excited about making a profit, and sometimes I'm frustrated because I'm losing. However, all of this has made me more aware of the complexity and uncertainty of the stock market. In this market, there is no one method or strategy that can guarantee you money, and no investment that can go up forever. On the contrary, the stock market is full of risks and pitfalls that can be caught up in if you are not careful.
Therefore, my conclusion is: stay away from drugs, stay away from A-shares! These two sentences are the truest portrayal of my journey in the stock market for more than eight years.
