In 2023, he will be rated as the "most beautiful retired soldier" in Guizhou Province.
Join the barracks
In October 1983, 18-year-old Yang Xiaoqi put on a military uniform and enlisted in the army. With a dream of military service, he firmly entered the barracks.
"Take a break! Stand upright! Walk in unison!" The instructor's slogan was loud and powerful, and Yang Xiaoqi, who had just joined the army, was participating in the queue training, and his height of more than 1.7 meters stood very conspicuous in the team.
When he was in the new barracks, in addition to training in the queue every day, he also had to practice Xi basic subjects such as bomb throwing and shooting, and the one-month training life soon ended, and Yang Xiaoqi was assigned to the artillery command class as a scout, responsible for observing the enemy situation in the sky.
"Reconnaissance attention! The location of the target point is ......." During the intense and orderly training, Yang Xiaoqi practiced countless times and repeatedly Xi, and gradually mastered the professional skills of aerial ranging, reporting coordinates, and so on.

Yang Xiaoqi and his comrades-in-arms carried ammunition on their backs and cautiously walked along the winding path.

They fought bloodily in the rain of bullets and bullets, and defended the territory of the motherland with their blood and lives.
Yang Xiaoqi fought bravely, held his position, and was still in the line of fire when he was wounded, and was awarded a third-class meritorious service.
Recalling the scene of the battle at that time, Yang Xiaoqi still remembers it vividly.
Seeing the fall of his comrades-in-arms with his own eyes, this battle will forever "stop" in his heart. He was determined to make a career to comfort his fallen comrades and fulfill their last wishes.
Returning to your hometown to start a business
In 1987, 22-year-old Yang Xiaoqi left the battlefield of gunpowder and returned to his hometown of Kaiyang, where he worked a stable job and began a peaceful life.
Fate always likes to joke with Yang Xiaoqi, an accident, he was seriously burned, and he survived after rescue, but his face was seriously damaged. Faced with the double blow of mental and physical, he once fell into a self-defeating mood.
Until one time, he accidentally saw a photo of himself once wearing a military uniform, and the scene of fighting with his comrades-in-arms resurfaced in front of him, and he thought: Compared with the sacrificed comrades-in-arms, this ordeal is nothing, I am living for my comrades-in-arms, and I want to live a little life.
Regain confidence and motivation. In 1997, Yang Xiaoqi began the road of entrepreneurship and established Guizhou Kaiyang Xianglong Mining Co., Ltd.
Insufficient funds and inexperience...... The setbacks and difficulties on the road to entrepreneurship did not stop Yang Xiaoqi.

She is a child in rural Guizhou, her father died of a work injury, and her mother lives with three sisters. In 2013, a certain unit stationed in Yunnan gathered in Zhanjiang, Guangdong, to carry out military training in other places, and after learning the news, he rushed to Zhanjiang with a large number of condolence materials; during the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2014, he rushed to Xichang, Sichuan, to bring a large number of condolences to the officers and soldiers of a certain unit stationed in Yunnan to carry out training tasks; on New Year's Day in 2018, he invested 60,000 yuan to buy 120 military coats to send warmth to his comrades-in-arms who were living in difficulty; On Army Day, he rushed to Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, to send 400 pieces of condolence materials to a certain unit stationed in Guizhou for training here......

Now in the martyrs' cemetery of Malipo County, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, the lush green leafy Buddha beetle grass comes into view, and the whole cemetery is green, as if it is a green military camp, and the martyrs who sleep here are still "wearing green military uniforms" in the army.
This "green" is a special gift from Yang Xiaoqi to the martyrs - "green military uniform".
By chance, Yang Xiaoqi learned that the plant "green leaf beetle grass" not only greens the environment, but also has the effect of protecting soil and water. Through his search, he signed a contract with a greening company in Tongzhou, Beijing, to transport the seedlings to Malipo after the seedlings were raised in Beijing.
In 2019, Yang Xiaoqi made a special trip to the Martyrs' Cemetery in Malipo County for the greening project of the Martyrs' Cemetery. Every morning, he and his wife entered the cemetery and walked back and forth along the cemetery. He carries a small shovel pinned to his waist, and is ready to shovel soil, loosen soil, and plant flowers and plants for the martyrs' tombs.
In 2021, Kaiyang County established a volunteer service team for veterans, Yang Xiaoqi was the first to sign up, bravely being the vanguard of volunteer service, he funded the purchase of team uniforms for 35 service team members, uniform dress, and the team's spirit was completely renewed.
In 2022, the Kaiyang County Veterans Affairs Bureau plans to publish a collection of documentary literary works "Iron and Blood Years - A Collection of Stories of Veterans to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea", and Yang Xiaoqi took the initiative to participate, and went to the countryside with writers to find and interview veterans of the Volunteer Army, and traveled to the villages and villages of 18 townships (towns) and streets in Kaiyang County.
