Among the founding generals of New China, some were demoted for various reasons, but some were reinstated before they could take office, like Lieutenant General Mo Wenhua.
After the liberation of Mo Wenhua, he served as deputy political commissar of the Guangxi Military Region, and was later transferred to the Northeast Military Region to serve as director of the political department and deputy political commissar.
In 1954, he was asked by Luo Ronghuan to serve as the vice president of the School of Political Science to assist Luo Ronghuan and Xiao Hua, the first vice president, in presiding over the daily work of the college.
At the end of 1961, he succeeded Luo Ronghuan as the dean of the School of Political Science, and was ranked as the principal of the military region.
But in 1964, when the Military Academy was rectified, it was said that the Political Academy was in violation of the yang and yin, and it was another set, and because of a "Brief History of the Seventh Army of the Red Army", Mo Wenhua was wrongly punished and was removed from his post in 1965.
In July 1966, his superiors assigned him to serve as deputy political commissar of the Fuzhou Military Region, and the commander of the Fuzhou Military Region at that time was Han Xianchu, and the two were old acquaintances.
During the War of Liberation, both of them served in the South Manchurian Military Region, Mo Wenhua first served as the deputy political commissar of the Liaodong Military Region, and then transferred to the political commissar of the 4th Column, the 13th Corps, and the 14th Corps, while Han Xianchu first served as the deputy commander of the 4th Column, and then transferred to the 3rd Column as the commander and deputy commander of the Corps.
In terms of qualifications and positions, Mo Wenhua is above Han Xianchu, although they are both at the deputy corps level, Han Xianchu fought very well, and his achievements were great, and he was awarded the rank of general.
Although he served as the deputy political commissar of the Fuzhou Military Region, he went to report first, and then came back a few days later to prepare to move to Fuzhou, but before he left, he was stopped by Ye Shuai, saying that his problems had been rehabilitated and there was no need to go.
By April 1967, he was reappointed president of the Political Science College, at which point he suffered an attack of cholecystitis and was treated in the hospital. After receiving the appointment, he did not want to go back to work at the School of Political Science, so he talked to Xiao Hua, deputy director of the Political Department, about his ideas, but he was not agreed, so he had to serve as the dean for the second time.
Years later, he also served as political commissar of the armored corps.
