Sun Xian, a professor from Jing County, Anhui Province, was admitted to the Fine Arts Department of Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute in 1977, where he studied under Professor Hu Xianya, a famous Chinese painter, and stayed on to teach when he graduated. In 1989, he was transferred to Jiangxi Institute of Education, and successively served as the director of the Fine Arts Department of Jiangxi Institute of Education, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, the vice chairman of the Jiangxi Artists Association, the discipline leader of Jiangxi Provincial Colleges and Universities, a famous teacher of Jiangxi Province, the chairman of the Jiangxi Arts and Crafts Association, the president of the Jiangxi Kaiming Painting Institute, the president of the Yunhai Painting Academy of China, and the chairman of the Fine Arts Professional Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial Education Society.
