Although BYD has recently surpassed Tesla in sales, entering 2024, Tesla will still dominate the electric vehicle industry with its excellent leadership position.

While other automakers have begun to tap into the EV space pioneered by Tesla with new models, Tesla has already launched five acclaimed EV products.

The price of Tesla's models has been rising in recent years, and its price fluctuations are so large that it can be called Tesla's consistent style. The following is the latest price information for Tesla models in the U.S. market in 2024.

【News】2024 Tesla prices for each model are announced

Currently, the suggested retail price of the rear-wheel drive version of the Tesla Model 3 is $38,990 (about 279,000 RMB), which is the most basic configuration and does not include any taxes or other fees.

Model 3 features are available in a variety of upgrades, including red paint, 19-inch sports wheels, a black-and-white interior, and upcoming Full Self-Driving features. If you choose the full self-driving function, you will need to pay an additional $15,000 (about 107,000 RMB). With this configuration, the total price of the Model 3 is US$55,490 (about 397,000 RMB).

If you don't plan to use the Full Self-Driving feature, Tesla also offers an option called Enhanced Autopilot. This option offers features such as automatic lane change, automatic parking, and autopilot navigation at a price of US$6,000 (about 43,000 RMB) instead of US$15,000 (about 107,000 RMB) for full self-driving.

The long-range Model 3 has a suggested retail price of US$45,990 (about 329,000 RMB). If you add the optional upgrades and full self-driving features mentioned earlier, the price of the new long-range Model 3 is $62,490 (about 447,000 RMB).

Compared to 2022 and 2023, the performance price of the Model 3 continues to decline. The suggested retail price of the 2024 version is $50,990 (about 365,000 RMB). If you choose the 20-inch Überturbine wheels and other additional configurations, the price will be as high as $65,990 (about 472,000 RMB).

Overall, these are the most affordable Model 3 prices we've seen so far.

Affordable SUV: Model Y price

【News】2024 Tesla prices for each model are announced

Model Y

While deliveries of the Model Y began in early 2020, the Model Y remains Tesla's latest EV model. Four years later, the Tesla Model Y became the best-selling electric car in the world, offering three different trims and prices.

Tesla has once again launched a more affordable RWD-powered version of the Model Y, with a suggested retail price of $43,990 (about 315,000 RMB). Together with all the available add-ons, including 20-inch induction wheels, red paint, towing hook, and full self-driving, the standard Model Y is priced at $61,990 (about 443,000 RMB). Please note that this option only has an interior space of five seats.

The basic MSRP of the dual-motor long-range Model Y is US$48,990 (about 350,000 RMB), which can rise to US$69,490 (about 497,000 RMB) when fully installed. This higher price includes all of the above available features as well as a seven-seat interior option for an additional $3,000 (about 21,000 RMB).

The Model Y Performance starts at US$52,490 (about 375,000 RMB) and increases to US$68,490 (about 489,000 RMB) after the upgrade, but it only includes a five-seat option.

Luxury sedan: Model S price

【News】2024 Tesla prices for each model are announced

The Model S remains Tesla's top-of-the-line electric model and the longest-running electric model.

As more affordable Tesla models like the 3 and Y gradually dominate the market, the followers of high-end EVs like the Model S may have declined, but their popularity remains undiminished and is seen as one of the best models to buy.

The current MSRP of the model is USD 74,990 (about 536,000 RMB). Although there are no other add-ons, this Model S version accelerates from zero to 60 mph in just over three seconds and has a range of more than 640 kilometers according to EPA estimates.

In other words, the full-spec version of the dual-motor Model S offers similar performance, but adds features such as "ultra-red" exterior paint, cream (or black and white) interior, joystick steering, and FSD functionality, all priced at $94,490 (about 675,000 RMB). This price also includes 21-inch Arachnid wheels, which reduces the car's range to 600 km.

Compared to the checkered interior and its corresponding price tag, the excellent specs displayed by the dual-motor Model S are truly impressive. The suggested retail price of the three-motor Model S Plaid is $89,990 (about 643,000 RMB), if the same Arachnid wheel cost is included. The purchase price will be $109,490 (about 783,000 RMB), but a part of the range will be sacrificed.

Throughout 2023, we've seen Tesla cut the prices of all of its original sedans several times, and even started offering customers the option of a standard steering wheel again.

Premium SUV: The price of the Model X

【News】2024 Tesla prices for each model are announced

With the sporty performance of the Model S Plaid, it will be Tesla's most expensive model, and for a while it did. However, with the launch of the lattice version of the Tesla Model X in 2022, the price of this SUV has been the highest for the automaker to date.

As they say, you get what you pay for, and the Model X offers the driver the most advantages in terms of space and performance, but it's also quite expensive. Like the older sedan, the Model X is tentatively available in three trims, including the aforementioned Standard Series trim. However, although Tesla has significantly reduced the prices of the other two models, the low-spec version has been removed.

The suggested retail price of the dual-motor Model X starts at $79,990 (about 572,000 RMB). The price of the full package soared to US$106,990 (about 765,000 RMB), offering things like 22-inch turbo wheels, cream interior, and six-seat interiors (including captain's seats). If you want seven rows of seats, you can get $3,000 (about 21,000 RMB) cheaper.

The Model X update brings a lattice version to replace the Performance version. The lattice version starts at $94,990 (about 679,000 RMB) and goes up to $115,490 (about 825,000 RMB), including all the most expensive add-ons. Please note that the Model X lattice version is currently only available with a six-seat interior.

Finally, Cybertruck has arrived...... It's a bit expensive though

【News】2024 Tesla prices for each model are announced

When Tesla first announced the Cybertruck, it made it clear that the unique-looking model would be available in three different MSRP versions:

Single-motor rear-wheel drive - $49,900 (about 357,000RMB)

Dual-motor all-wheel drive - $59,900 (about 428,000 RMB)

Three-motor all-wheel drive - $79,900 (about 571,000 RMB)

However, the Cybertruck's production process has suffered several delays. As of October 2021, the specific pricing and specifications of the Cybertruck are no longer listed on Tesla's official website. It wasn't until May 2022 that Tesla started accepting pre-orders from North American customers again.

In late November 2023, Tesla held a customer delivery event to show off the physical model of the Cybertruck for the first time and reveal a large number of new details and accessories. The issue of pricing has always been a focus for bookers and EV enthusiasts.

Now, the answer has been revealed: the Cybertruck's debut MSRP is more than 50% higher than the originally promised price. Here's the latest pricing for the Tesla Cybertruck in 2024:

Single-motor rear-wheel drive - $60,990 (about 436,000 RMB)

Dual-motor all-wheel drive - $79,990 (about 572,000 RMB)

Three-motor AWD (aka "Cyberbeast") - $99,990 (about 714,000RMB)

More detailed specifications for the Cybertruck have been announced, and pre-orders are open. Deliveries are expected to continue next year, followed by deliveries of the rear-wheel drive version in 2025.

Second-generation Tesla: Roadster price situation

【News】2024 Tesla prices for each model are announced

Roadster

For the second-generation Tesla Roadster, which debuted in 2017, Tesla fans may have to wait a little longer.

The assembly of the Roadster, which was originally scheduled to begin production in 2020, has been repeatedly delayed due to Tesla's shift of focus to other electric vehicles, especially the Cybertruck. According to sources, the launch of this super electric car will be delayed until at least 2024.

Initially, Tesla set the price of the facelifted Roadster at $200,000 (about 1.43 million RMB) and asked the pre-orderer to pay $50,000 as a deposit.

In addition, Tesla also launched a limited-production "Founder's Series" version of the Roadster, priced at $250,000 (about 1.786 million RMB). Pre-bookers for this edition are required to pay the full amount within 10 days of booking, and now the collection is sold out.

By 2024, Tesla no longer lists any price for the second-generation Roadster, and there is no longer any mention of the "Founder's Series" version. What we do know is that if you want to keep your reservation, you still need to pay 50,000 USD (about 357,000 RMB) within 10 days of booking.

Note: The above prices are Tesla's suggested retail prices for the U.S. market. Due to the market environment and marketing strategies in China and the United States, the above prices are for reference only, please contact Chinese distributors for the actual Chinese market price.
