My granddaughter already knows some words, and if she can read them, I'll let her read them herself, and it's okay to be slow. There were some words that I hadn't learned, so I read them to her. The book is 30 pages long, and we read it for a long time.
At the end of each page, I ask, "What do you understand?" If she is right, we will move on to the next page, and if she says she doesn't know, I will tell her. The granddaughter is still very devoted, there are questions and answers, and the grandparents and grandchildren cooperate very happily.
It can also be seen that children have great potential for learning and Xi.
For example, when I read an idiom "work together," I asked my granddaughter, "Do you know what it means to work together?" and she said, "Let me think about it." Then I said the meaning of "everyone works together", how good it is! There is also a sentence "Everyone gets up early every day and digs the mountain greedily and never stops", and I asked my granddaughter: "What is getting up early and being greedy for darkness?" The granddaughter thought for a while and understood: "It is to get up early and come back when it is dark." ”
There is also an idiom "perseverance", I read the content of the picture book first: "Time passed day by day, year by year, the Yugong family and the villagers persevered in digging the mountain, and the mountain really became shorter." "What does it mean to be persistent?" my granddaughter replied, "It's just digging day by day, year by year."
I also made my granddaughter understand one word - unblocked. I said, "The Jade Emperor sent two immortals to carry away the two mountains, and the Yugong family and the villagers can finally travel smoothly, and everyone is very happy." What do you mean by unblocked?"
The granddaughter said mischievously: "Of course, love can go as much as you want." ”
Last night's picture book reading brought me a lot of surprises. It also convinced me that "open books are beneficial". As long as you are willing to open the book and read it, both adults and children will have a harvest.
