Since January 1, the new version of the National Medical Insurance Drug Catalogue has been officially implemented, and the insured people around the country will be reimbursed according to the scope and price of drugs in the new version of the catalogue when they see a doctor and purchase drugs. This is the sixth consecutive year that the National Health Insurance Administration has adjusted the drug catalog, and this year's adjustment of the drug list fully reflects the attention to oncology drugs, chronic disease drugs and rare disease treatment drugs, bringing more comprehensive protection to patients.
A total of 126 drugs were added to the catalogue and 1 drug was transferred out of the catalogue, of which 121 drugs were included in the medical insurance through negotiation or bidding, with an average decrease of 61.7%. The drugs cover chronic diseases such as oncology, diabetes, psychiatry, rheumatism and immunity, and 15 new drugs for rare diseases have been added, covering 16 rare diseases, and efforts have been made to fill the gaps in the drug protection of 10 diseases.
Among the types of drugs adjusted by the medical insurance catalog, anti-cancer drugs have always played an important role. Compared with other diseases, the treatment cycle of cancer is longer, and some drugs have good efficacy, but many patients cannot afford these drugs due to financial reasons. The implementation of the new version of the National Medical Insurance Drug List not only allows patients to have more treatment options, but also reduces their financial burden. Lv Yalei, deputy director of the Second Department of Oncology of the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University, said that after being included in the medical insurance, the psychological burden and mental pressure of patients have also been greatly reduced, so that they can better cooperate with the treatment.
It is understood that after six consecutive years of adjustment, the total number of drugs in the new version of the medical insurance drug catalog has increased to 3,088, and a total of 744 drugs have been added to the national medical insurance drug catalog, and the rationality of clinical drug use has been actively improved. Combined with the negotiation of price reductions and medical insurance reimbursement factors, this adjustment is expected to reduce the burden on patients by more than 40 billion yuan in the next two years.
