SAIC Motor will sell 5.02 million vehicles in 2023, down 5.3% year-on-year

IT Home reported on January 3 that SAIC Motor announced today that it will sell 5.02 million vehicles in 2023, ranking first in China for 18 consecutive years.

SAIC's vehicle sales in the four quarters of 2023 will be 89, 118, 131, and 1.64 million units, respectively, achieving a "quarter-on-quarter increase". However, IT Home found that SAIC Motor sold 5.3026 million units in 2022, so it will decline by 5.3% year-on-year in 2023.

In terms of new energy vehicles and overseas sales, SAIC Motor sold 1.123 million new energy vehicles in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%, ranking second among domestic automakers, and overseas sales reached 1.208 million units, a year-on-year increase of 18.8%, ranking first in the domestic industry for the eighth consecutive year.

In terms of production and sales structure, SAIC's own brand sales will reach 2.775 million units in 2023, accounting for more than 55% of the group's sales, an increase of 2.5% from 2022.

Zhiji Auto sold 38,300 units for the year, a year-on-year increase of 665%, and its sales exceeded 10,000 units in December.

SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle (including overseas bases) sold 358,000 NEVs, up 43.5% year-on-year.

SAIC-GM-Wuling (including overseas bases) sold 459,000 new energy vehicles, and Wuling Binguo's sales exceeded 30,000 units for two consecutive months.

SAIC Volkswagen sold more than 130,000 new energy vehicles for the year, a year-on-year increase of 32.1%, of which sales exceeded 20,000 for the first time in December.

SAIC-GM sold 100,000 new energy vehicles throughout the year, doubling year-on-year, and Buick Micro Blue sold more than 10,000 in a single month.

In terms of overseas markets, SAIC's overseas sales in 2023 will reach 1.208 million units, a year-on-year increase of 18.8%, of which domestic brand sales will account for nearly 92%, and NEV sales will account for nearly 24%. SAIC will launch 14 new intelligent electric "global vehicles" in overseas markets to achieve "full coverage" of mainstream market segments.

Guangqi Honda's sales in 2023 exceeded 640,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of about 13.5%.

Chery Automobile's sales in 2023 will be 1.881 million units, up 52.6% year-on-year, and exports will be 937,100 units.

Tesla delivered 484,500 vehicles in the fourth quarter of 2023 and 1,808,600 for the full year, an increase of 38% year-on-year.

Great Wall Motor's overseas sales in 2023 will exceed 300,000 units for the first time, with a cumulative total of more than 1.4 million units. Great Wall Motor sold 29,816 new energy passenger vehicles in December, up 168.59% year-on-year, and 261546 units in 2023, up 98.39% year-on-year. The terminal retail sales of WEY brand new energy in December were 4,808 units, an increase of 65.96% month-on-month.

GAC Aion sold 45,947 units in December, up 53% year-on-year, and 480003 units in 2023, up 77% year-on-year. GAC Aion's cumulative sales in 2023 exceeded 480,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 77%.

The retail sales of the Hongqi brand in 2023 will exceed 370,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 29.5%, of which the retail sales of new energy vehicles will exceed 85,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 135%.

FAW Toyota's retail sales in 2023 were 800018 units, up 4.1% year-on-year, with an output of 802666 units.

VOYAH sold 10,017 units in December, up 479% year-on-year, and 50,552 units in 2023, up 160% year-on-year.

ZEEKR delivered 13,476 vehicles in December, up 18.9% year-on-year, and delivered 118685 vehicles for the year, up 65% year-on-year.

Li Auto delivered 50,353 vehicles in December, a year-on-year increase of 137.1%, successfully exceeding 50,000 units, and delivering a total of 376,000 units in 2023.

The cumulative sales volume of FAW Besturn in 2023 will be 120666 units, a year-on-year increase of 59.4%.

Leapmotor delivered 18,618 units in December, up 119% year-on-year, and delivered a total of 144155 units in 2023, up more than 29% year-on-year.

Xpeng delivered 20,115 new vehicles in December, up 78% year-on-year, and the total deliveries for the year exceeded 140,000.

Sailis Auto sold 31,490 units in December, a year-on-year increase of 210.03%. The cumulative sales in 2023 will be 106703 units, a year-on-year increase of 33.31%. AITO Wenjie series delivered 24,468 new vehicles in December, an increase of 29.96% month-on-month, and a total of 94,380 units were delivered in 2023.

NIO delivered 18,012 vehicles in December, up 13.9% year-over-year, and delivered a total of 160038 vehicles in 2023, up 30.7% year-over-year.

BYD sold 341,000 new energy vehicles in December, and the cumulative sales in 2023 will be 3,024,400 units, a year-on-year increase of 62.3%.

Geely Automobile's December 2023 sales were 150,453 units, up about 3% year-on-year. Full-year sales were 1,686,516 units, up approximately 18% year-over-year. Geely Galaxy sold 12,088 new vehicles in December

Nezha Automobile will deliver 127496 units of the entire series in 2023, with cumulative sales exceeding 380,000 units.

BAIC BJEV will sell 92,000 units in 2023, an increase of 84% year-on-year. Among them, the cumulative annual sales of Jihu Motors reached 30,016 units, a year-on-year increase of 138%.

According to the latest data released by Changan Automobile today, the annual sales volume in 2023 will exceed 2.55 million units, of which the sales of self-owned brand new energy vehicles will exceed 470,000 units, and the overseas sales of self-owned brands will exceed 230,000 units. Deep Blue delivered 18,338 vehicles in December and 136912 units for the whole year of 2023.
