At about 23 o'clock on January 1, the Yaxi section of the Beijing-Kunming Expressway ushered in the first snow of the new year, and the Sichuan Expressway Public Security Bureau No. 6 immediately launched the emergency response plan for severe weather.
At about 6 o'clock in the morning on January 2, the police team of the Sichuan Expressway Sixth Branch of the Yaxi Expressway conducted repeated surveys on the roads and pavements in the jurisdiction, and adopted measures such as fixed-point warnings, road patrols and inspections, and police car formations to lead the way, so as to ensure that the road surface has safe passage conditions, and the control was lifted.
At about 17 o'clock on January 2, there was snowfall again on the Iaxi Expressway, and the Sixth Branch of the Sichuan Expressway Public Security Bureau launched the emergency plan for the first time, and the joint expressway "all the way and three parties" quickly carried out the road snow clearing work, and carried out patrols and warnings in key road sections. At about 18:30, the Yingjing security checkpoint and the toll stations along the Yingjing to Menghucheng entered the winter control mode in advance (trucks with four axles and above, and passenger cars with 8 seats or more are prohibited from entering).

"The snowfall on the Tuowu Mountain section of the Iasi Expressway continues, and due to the continuous snowfall and the continuous drop in temperature (minimum temperature of minus 1 degree), some sections of the road are icing, and the road traffic conditions are becoming worse. According to the police, at about 23 o'clock on January 2, due to the continuous low temperature and snowfall on the northern slope of Tuowu Mountain (2105 kilometers to 2115 kilometers) of the Yaxi Expressway, many sections of the road were icy.
At present, all vehicles in the direction of Xichang are diverted in asbestos, all vehicles in the direction of Chengdu are diverted in Yihai, all vehicles are prohibited from entering at the Menghucheng toll station, all vehicles in the direction of Xichang are prohibited from entering at Liziping and asbestos toll stations, all vehicles in the direction of Chengdu are prohibited from entering Mianning Station and Yihai Station, and all freight vehicles in the direction of Chengdu are prohibited from entering Lugu Station and Manshuiwan Station. The timing of deregulation is yet to be determined.
Sichuan Expressway Public Security Bureau No. 6 Tips: The temperature is low in winter, the road is easy to freeze, and the potential safety hazards are prominent.
