Heroic Defending the Bridge: The New Year's Bridge Resistance of the Kokang Allied Army
In northern Myanmar, there is a small bridge called the Chinese New Year Bridge, which was once the stage for a heroic epic. In 2015, it witnessed the fearlessness and strength of the soldiers of the Kokang Alliance. They demonstrated extraordinary courage and sacrifice in fierce battles with the Burmese army.
At that time, the sky was overcast, the smoke was filled, and the fighting was endless. Despite the enemy's intense fire and approaching danger, the Kokang Confederate soldiers did not flinch. They know that they have a great responsibility - to defend their homeland and to defend the New Year's Bridge. The bridge is not only the only path to safety, but also a symbol of their faith and free will.
Even in the face of adversity with scarce supplies and unknown reinforcements, the soldiers showed remarkable resilience and perseverance. They hit their enemies with scarce bullets with precision, and remained at their posts as they ran out of food and water.
The company commander stood at the forefront, his eyes sharply examining the battlefield. He knew that every warrior was an indispensable member of the family, but here, in the shadow of war, they were all warriors. The company commander's chest swelled with a sense of responsibility and deep helplessness about the outcome of the battle.

When we talk about the New Year Bridge today, we think of the soldiers of the Kokang Alliance who gave their lives to defend their faith and fought bravely for their ideals until the last moment. Although history continues to flow and the world is unpredictable, the image of those brave men who stood on the bridgehead of the New Year and forged legendary stories with flesh and blood will always be remembered in my heart.
This history is not simply a story of victory or defeat, but a deeper story of the human spirit of perseverance and sacrifice, courage and faith. It is this spirit that allows us to understand that there are certain values in the human community – no matter how the external situation changes – that are always worth defending and inheriting.
The events that took place on the Chinese New Year Bridge transcended the limitations of time and space, and became a reminder to all of us that no matter what difficulties or challenges we face, heroic deeds displayed under the call of faith and freedom will always shine with the most brilliant light of human nature.
