I remember the first time I stepped through the gates of the army, I was both excited and nervous. It was a sunny morning, with crisp uniforms and clattering boots. As clear as what happened yesterday.
Time flies, and in this big family, I have grown from a young recruit to a responsible squad leader. Every move, every new mission, is like a hand of fate drawing a heavy stroke on the map of my life. I remember one time when I was assigned to a mission on the plateau, the cold wind was as biting as a knife, and breathing in the thin air became a luxury. But looking at the firm eyes of the comrades-in-arms around him, all the suffering seemed to be invisibly resolved.
Speaking of which, over the years, I have taught many minions how to become real warriors. Whenever I see them go from being childish to being warriors on their own, my heart is filled with pride and satisfaction.
But don't think that there is only seriousness and tension in the barracks! At the farewell party, everyone sings, drinks, laughs and jokes - these warm and sincere scenes often make me feel that this is another home. Although waving goodbye when parting is always a little reluctant and sour, I also know that everyone is carrying a mission.
Speak plainly and concisely in the army, right? So frugality has actually become a Xi for me to get to the point and be concise to ensure that the message is conveyed accurately. For example, "Assemble!" and "Let's go!" are short, powerful commands that echo in my ears.
And, here, you can experience the kind of culture that only soldiers understand: roll call in the morning, report in the evening, emergency assembly orders... Every day is a new challenge, and each task tests the collaboration and trust between us.
As a soldier, hardship and hard work are as normal as daily diet, unity and cooperation are the cornerstone of our common advance and retreat, and as for tactical thinking, that is the way to save lives!
Looking back, I look back at the journey I've traveled: from my initial basic training to being able to mentor recruits, from being confused to being confident today, and how much my status has changed.
In the end, I would say, it's not over. Maybe next time you'll hear more stories of tenacity, responsibility and loyalty, all written by those of us in camouflage. We soldiers were born for a greater mission and glory!
