With the full support of the provinces and cities at all levels, the full cooperation of the people along the route, and the unremitting efforts of the participating units, the main line of the S104 Lana Highway Project was opened to traffic as scheduled on the morning of January 1, 2024.
The S104 Lan'a Highway Project starts from Shenjiapo, Qilihe District, and ends at Heba Village, Agan Town, with a total length of 23 kilometers, which are designed and constructed according to the technical standards of first-class (14.4 km) and second-class (8.6 km) highways. In order to effectively solve the traffic bottleneck constraints that there is no southbound fast track in Qilihe District for a long time, the poor travel conditions of the masses in Bali Town and Agan Town, and the poor connection with the main urban area and Yuzhong, the municipal transportation department will strive for multi-party convergence, and with the strong support of the Provincial Department of Transportation, the project will be included in the provincial highway network planning and the construction will be started in 2020.
Since the beginning of this year, according to the "strong provincial capital" action and the deployment requirements of the city's comprehensive transportation conference, the municipal transportation department has kept an eye on the main line of the project to open to traffic, coordinated all parties involved in the construction to reverse the construction period, wall chart operations, and made every effort to overcome various constraints such as tight task deadline and difficult construction. With the joint efforts of the municipal public security traffic police department and other parties at all levels, we will tackle tough problems and speed up the construction progress of the project, realize the opening of the main line to traffic as scheduled, and effectively play a leading role in traffic with practical actions, and actively provide more convenient and efficient travel services for the masses.
After the main line of the S104 Lan'a Highway Project is opened to traffic, it will become a new trunk express channel to the south of the main urban area, which is of great significance for expanding urban space, alleviating traffic pressure, facilitating mass travel, and driving tourism along the route and high-quality regional economic and social development. The project is connected by the Jincheng South Interchange and the South Ring Expressway in all directions, which will effectively achieve the goal of rapid access to the main urban area and Yuzhong. After the completion and commissioning of the Nanshan Road interchange, the follow-up project control project, it will once again be connected to Nanshan Road in all directions, and further play the supporting role of the backbone highway in "external and internal smooth and interconnected".
