Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned the IFFHS Global Scorer of the Year: Messi ranked 52nd and Su Shen ranked 51st
Following FIFA's recognition of Ronaldo's annual 54 goals and his crowning of the 2023 Global Goalscorer King, another authoritative organization: IFFHS (International Federation of Football History and Statistics) officially announced that Ronaldo was crowned the Global Goalscorer King with 54 goals of the year!
The IFFHS explained that all players who play in the top league (at top senior level) will be counted for their goals in leagues, continental competitions, domestic cups, and international A-level competitions for the national team. There is no difference in the coefficient of the goal.
In 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo scored 34 goals for Riyadh Victory in the Saudi Professional League, 1 goal in the AFC Champions League, 9 goals in the domestic cup competition, and 10 goals for the Portuguese national team, for a total of 54 goals.
This is also the fifth time that Ronaldo has won the title of IFFHS's Global Goalscorer of the Year. The award was created by the IFFHS in 2011 and Ronaldo has won it five times – in 2011 (60 goals), 2013 (69 goals), 2014 (61 goals), 2015 (57 goals) and 2023 (54 goals).
Paris Saint-Germain's French striker Kylian Mbappe scored 52 goals in the year, Bayern Munich's England international Harry Kane also scored 52 goals and Manchester City's Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland ranked fourth with 50 goals.

Karim Benzema is 15th with 38 goals, Salah is 17th with 36, Icardi is 19th with 36 goals, Osimhen is 26th with 34 goals and Hulk is 42nd with 30 goals.
Suarez, who plays for Gremio, ranks 51st with 29 goals in 2023, while Messi ranks 52nd with 28 goals in 2023 (10 in the league, 10 in cups and 8 for national team).
