Generative AI
2023 can be called the year of the explosion of generative artificial intelligence AIGC. With the popularity of generative artificial intelligence, the technical support language model behind it has also "sprung up". As of October 2023, there are 254 large-scale model manufacturers and universities in mainland China with a scale of more than 1 billion parameters. It is estimated that the market size of mainland language models will reach 13.23 billion yuan in 2023.
Brain-computer interfaces
In 2023, brain-computer interfaces will "access" reality from science fiction. At present, in the fields of medical rehabilitation, education, entertainment, etc., the application of brain-computer interface technology is accelerating to open the door to the market. According to relevant reports, the global market size of brain-computer interfaces will reach $1.97 billion in 2023.
Domestic aircraft
On May 28, 2023, the domestic large aircraft C919 finally ushered in its first commercial flight. According to data released by COMAC in June 2023, the C919 has received a total of 1,061 orders from more than 30 customers. It is estimated that by 2035, relying on the industrial support formed by the large aircraft industrial park, it will support the annual production capacity of more than 200 large commercial aircraft of COMAC and drive the annual output value of the aviation industry to more than 300 billion yuan.
Domestic cruise ships
In November 2023, the domestic cruise ship "Aida Modu" was officially named and delivered, and the manufacturing of domestic large-scale cruise ships in mainland China achieved a "zero breakthrough". The voyage of domestic large cruise ships will also leverage the trillion-yuan industrial chain. According to forecasts, by 2035, the contribution of cruise ships to China's overall economy is expected to reach nearly 550 billion yuan.
Hydrogen energy
In June 2023, the first 10,000-ton new energy hydrogen production project in mainland China in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia successfully produced hydrogen. In August 2023, the mainland's first 10,000-ton photovoltaic hydrogen production project was completed and put into operation in Kuqa, Xinjiang. In November 2023, Anhui Lu'an, the first megawatt-level hydrogen energy comprehensive utilization demonstration station in China, obtained the first business license for the integration of hydrogen production and hydrogenation in Anhui Province. Up to now, the number of domestic hydrogen refueling stations ranks first in the world. It is estimated that by 2025, the market size of the hydrogen energy industry in mainland China will exceed 1 trillion yuan.
Quantum computing
In 2023, the mainland successfully built the quantum computing prototype "Jiuzhang No. 3", once again setting a new world record for optical quantum information technology. According to forecasts, without considering the progress of quantum error correction algorithms, it is conservatively estimated that the global quantum computing application market will reach nearly $2 billion by 2035 and soar to more than $260 billion by 2050.
