The forest fire prevention and extinguishing headquarters of all districted cities and Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, and the member units of the provincial forest fire prevention and extinguishing headquarters:
New Year's Day is approaching, and the province's forest fire prevention and extinguishing work is facing severe challenges. First, the climatic conditions are extremely unfavorable, according to the forecast of the meteorological department, most parts of the province will have continuous sunny and dry weather after low temperature and freezing weather, the temperature will rise rapidly, the windy weather will increase, and forest fires will easily occur. According to the National Forest Fire Monitoring Center, there are many hot spots for satellite monitoring recently, and the situation of forest fire prevention and extinguishing is grim. Second, a large amount of combustibles have accumulated in the forest, and some forest areas have exceeded the critical state of serious forest fires, and our province has just encountered low temperature and freezing weather, and the forest area has increased a large number of understory combustibles such as dead branches and broken branches. Third, it is difficult to control wildland fire sources, students are on vacation, and migrant workers will return to their hometowns one after another, and the activities of people in forest areas are likely to increase sharply, and the risk of forest fires will double. To this end, the Provincial Forest Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting Headquarters hereby issued the No. 4 High Forest Fire Danger Orange Warning Signal of 2023 (December 29, 2023-January 2, 2024). All localities are requested to conscientiously implement the spirit of the province's autumn and winter forest and grassland fire prevention and extinguishing work video and telephone conference and the province's safety production meeting at the end of the year and the beginning of the year, effectively improve ideological understanding, tighten the string of forest fire prevention and extinguishing, consolidate the responsibilities of all parties, strengthen the investigation and management of hidden dangers, increase the control of wild fire sources, strengthen the duty on duty, do a good job in information reporting, and issue a fire ban in a timely manner to ensure the safety and stability of forest areas during the New Year's Day.
