Welcome the new year's pop-up season in Tianzifang and start an in-depth tour of Shanghai-style culture

"Fireworks in the prosperous year of the world, prosperous Tianzifang on the sea" - the 2024 Tianzifang New Year Culture and Art Flash Season will open at the end of the year. Based on the need to restart the cultural atmosphere of Tianzifang, the pop-up season focuses on the theme of the Spring Festival garden and combines the current popular "city walk" to create a unique walking route of Tianzifang, bringing citizens and tourists a journey of national culture with all colors and flavors, and an in-depth tour to explore Shanghai-style culture at will.

The pop-up season event attracted many well-known brands to participate. Among them, there are "Taikang" food brought by the earliest 24-hour store "Xinghuo Day and Night" in China, and "Lao Zhenghe" silk products brought by Shanghai Silk Group, as well as Jiangsu time-honored brand and Suzhou intangible cultural heritage Renchang Shun Suzhou-style pastries. There are special delicacies with Shanghainese food culture, such as Spanish Iberian ham brought by Dreampara, the well-known Swiss Movenbi ice cream, etc., as well as the exhibition of works by the world-famous photography gallery YellowKorner, and the vinyl record experience of the Vinyl Society's glue collection music, so that food can be naturally integrated with culture and art, bringing an upgraded version of Shanghainese lifestyle.

The name of "Tianzifang" is that the painter Huang Yongyu gave this old alley a nickname. It originates from the earliest painter named "Tian Zifang" in the "Historical Records", and takes its harmonic meaning. Tianzifang has created the first creative industry cluster in Shanghai from the original more than 10 lane factories. Together with more than 600 residents, the Shikumen Style Conservation Area has formed today's tourist attraction.

Tianzifang not only has typical shikumen and new-style lane buildings, but also 20th-century industrial factory buildings. In the process of renovation, the humanistic and historical value of the old factory buildings and old houses was fully excavated, which not only retained the masonry wall and roof beam structure with the aesthetic characteristics of the original building, but also integrated the facilities and equipment of modern materials through artistic means. The blend of history and future, tradition and modernity, East and West, classic and popular in Tianzifang constitutes Shanghai's new urban cultural business card.

The event was jointly organized by Tianzifang District Management Office, Huangpu District, Shanghai and Shanghai Jingwei (Group) Co., Ltd., and undertaken by Shanghai Yilu Real Estate Co., Ltd. The pop-up season will last until after the Lantern Festival in 2024, during which a variety of immersive park check-in activities will be launched in collaboration with pop-up brands, bringing a new experience to the neighborhood and visitors.
