69-year-old Wang Xiaoming elderly due to coronary heart disease aggravation need to go to Mianyang People's Hospital for hospitalization, halfway house volunteers came to the elderly for the first time, to assist the elderly through admission procedures and other related matters, after everything is fine, to understand the treatment plan and precautions from the medical staff, the elderly during the treatment, volunteers continue to go to the hospital to accompany the elderly, comfort the elderly, let him feel at ease treatment, a few days later the old man's condition improved, tend to stabilize.
According to the hospital's suggestion, the elderly decided to transfer to the Shitang Street Community Health Service Center to continue treatment, and during the infusion period before accompanying the elderly before the transfer, the volunteers divided into two routes, all the way back and forth between the two hospitals, for the elderly to handle the relevant procedures for discharge, transfer and admission, all the way upstairs and downstairs to run the department to sign, take medicine, follow the doctor's opinion, and arrange lunch.
The medical staff highly praised the volunteers' careful and professional service work, and the head nurse said to the uncle: "Look at the elderly, the government is really concerned about you now, you are really blessed, you yourself should take medicine on time according to the doctor's instructions, adjust your mentality, and strive for a complete recovery as soon as possible." In the afternoon of the same day, volunteers assisted the elderly to stay in the Shitang Street Health Center. During the companionship period, the elderly were encouraged to be treated with peace of mind, and at the same time, his situation was reported to Shitang Street and Yuxin Community in real time, so as to jointly find policy support for his life and housing problems after recovery. Looking at the volunteers who were busy running day by day, the old man was full of emotion, "Thanks to you" was the most he said.
For those who are scattered to support the extremely poor, in times of hardship, the care of the party and the government is the source of their spiritual support and strength to overcome difficulties, and volunteers are like porters of love, who carry them wherever they need to be moved, bringing them warmth and hope.
