According to reports, the ecological hydrogeological survey of Nanling National Park (proposed) focuses on the central task of serving Nanling National Park, using remote sensing interpretation, surface investigation, drilling, sample collection, groundwater monitoring, database construction and computer mapping and other technical means to carry out the analysis of ecological-hydrological-geological multi-element system within 1931.57 square kilometers of Nanling National Park (proposed), and finally complete data collation, preparation of investigation reports and related results maps.

"At present, we are carrying out sampling and analysis during the dry season, dynamic monitoring, and the construction of groundwater monitoring points. According to Li Donghong, a senior engineer of the Guangdong Provincial Geological Survey, the groundwater and surface water quality within the Nanling National Park (proposed) is good, and the test data of the wet season show that most of the water points are better than the Class III water standard (suitable for centralized drinking water surface water sources), and some spring water points also meet the standards of natural drinking mineral water, such as Tianjing Mountain Forest Farm, Luokeng Conservation Area and other places distributed in some spring metasilicic acid indicators to meet the mineral water standards.

It is understood that in order to monitor the dynamic changes of the groundwater environment, the survey also deployed the construction of two groundwater dynamic monitoring stations, and after the installation of monitoring instruments was completed in the later stage, it can be used for daily monitoring of the groundwater geological environment, and can also be used for water supply in case of emergency.
