According to reports, the satellite intelligent factory relies on flexible production, digital intelligence and other technologies, and the current annual production capacity of satellites can reach up to about 300, with a number of core technical advantages such as flat plate configuration satellite design, satellite stacking and separation technology, and low-cost and high-power energy acquisition technology. The first satellite launched on the same day is a new generation of flat-panel configuration satellite developed by the G60 Satellite Digital Factory, which can meet the needs of stacked launch of multiple satellites with one arrow, and will be equipped with high-throughput, high-reliability, and low-latency satellite payloads, which can provide broadband access communication services for different users around the world.
Located in the G60 Satellite Internet Industrial Base in Songjiang District, Shanghai, the G60 Satellite Digital Factory is the first satellite Internet industry cluster carrier in China. On this basis, Shanghai will build the first satellite Internet industry cluster in China integrating innovative R&D, production and manufacturing, and application landing, and form a benchmark demonstration base for the satellite industry of "integration of heaven and earth, interconnection of everything" with international and domestic leading effects.
According to the previously promulgated "Shanghai Action Plan for Promoting the Development of Commercial Aerospace and Building a Highland for the Space Information Industry (2023-2025)", by 2025, Shanghai will form a mass manufacturing capacity with an annual output of 50 commercial rockets and 600 commercial satellites, with the goal of building "Shanghai Star" and "Shanghai Arrow", and provide a chain service model of satellite development, carrier launch, in-orbit delivery and management.
