The Three Gorges is a magnificent landscape gallery on the Yangtze River, with a total length of more than 2,000 meters, consisting of Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge. When I was a child, whenever I read poems and songs about the Three Gorges, I was always full of yearning for this place, and I wanted to see the picturesque scenery with my own eyes!

We chose the moderately priced Century Veuve Clicquot cruise ship, and lived in a standard balcony room for more than 3,000 people, which is not cheap, nor is it the most expensive. The main thing is that this ship is a new ship, it will only make its maiden voyage in 2022, and dinner is provided on the first night of boarding, if you choose another ship, dinner is not included.

After boarding the ship, I was very satisfied, the ship was much better than I expected, simple and stylish style with exquisite decoration, it felt like being in a luxury hotel. Entering the guest room is even happier, pushing open the door is facing a full-floor balcony with a view, the whole room is spacious, bright and warm.

The dining conditions of the Century Veuve Clicquot cruise ship are also very good, each meal is a Chinese and Western buffet, there are many kinds of dishes, spicy and fragrant flavors, and there is a supper after 10 o'clock.

Second, I got up too early in the morning, there were no escalators and elevators at the pier, and I needed to climb low and high, which was more tiring than I imagined
I thought I could wake up naturally from a good night's sleep on the ship, but I was woken up by the radio at about 7 o'clock every morning and went to the restaurant on time for breakfast. If you wake up late, you won't be able to catch breakfast and miss the trip to the shore. Also, every time I go ashore to visit the attractions, I have to climb a long staircase, which is really tiring. Especially in a big Internet celebrity city like Chongqing, the wharf is not equipped with an escalator, haha. Fortunately, the service of the Century Veuve Clicquot cruise was very good, and the porter was arranged to help us send our luggage on board. It is highly recommended that elevators or cable cars be installed at the piers along the way to facilitate the elderly or children with leg problems.

Third, you can only visit the two gorges of Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge, and you can't see Xiling Gorge
Although the name is Three Gorges Cruise Tour, you can only enjoy the scenery of the two canyons of Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. Because the Century Triumph Clicquot cruise ship we took stopped at the upstream of the Three Gorges Dam and did not pass through Xiling Gorge. This is different from what I imagined, I originally thought it was a complete Three Gorges tour!

However, the scenery of Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge is really great. Qutang Gorge is magnificent, you can see the high mountains on both sides of the steep, especially the rock wall is like a knife splitting axe; the scenery of Wuxia is very quiet, the green mountains on both sides, a pool of clear water, take a boat to swim in it, just like walking into a painting!

Fourth, the Three Gorges Dam is worth seeing, and the ship lift is also worth taking
On the last morning to Yichang, we disembarked from the Century Triumph Clicquot. Changed to a smaller boat to experience the boat lift. Before I went, I heard that the ship lift was very shocking, and I felt really amazing when I felt it once. We sat in a small boat, which entered an elevator-like device, and then slowly ascended, about 100 meters, to the level of the water upstream, and then the boat sailed out, completing the feat of climbing over the dam. During the whole boat ride, I was excited in my heart, and the great power project was extraordinary, which was really more meaningful than I imagined.

After experiencing the ship lift, enter the Three Gorges Dam scenic area to visit, enter the interception memorial hall, and listen to the tour guide explain the story of the Three Gorges immigrants, the construction process of the water conservancy project, and so on. Then you can also climb the Tanziling Observation Deck and the Five-Level Lock Observation Deck to overlook the majestic figure of the Three Gorges Dam Project. How to say it, the Three Gorges Dam is the world's great water conservancy project for the benefit of the country and the people, and it is a place that we must visit once in our lives.

Fifth, eating, living and playing on the boat, without changing the residence, eliminates the fatigue of the boat and travel, which is easier than imagined
We ate and stayed on the Triumph Clicquot cruise ship the whole time, which was much easier than a regular trip. You don't have to pack your bags and change hotels every day, and you don't have to take the hard bus to the next attraction. Sleep on the boat and go to the next tourist attraction, which is quite worry-free. Personally, I think the Three Gorges cruise tour is quite suitable for the elderly or parent-child travel.
