The dust of history - the battle of Zhou Gong (Gong) Wang's annihilation

This story is actually a very serious historical record, the era is in the era of the Western Zhou Dynasty, and the place is somewhere in present-day Shaanxi.

In the spring of the fourth year of the reign of King Gong of Zhou (戊寅, 944 BC), Ji Fei traveled to Jingshui (a tributary of Weishui) with the monarch of the Secret Kingdom (present-day Lingtai, Gansu) and the Duke of Mikang. The history books record that the "Chinese Zhou Dialect" also records that when the Duke of Mikang followed the King of Zhou on his tour of Jing, the Great Peach, The Second Peach, and the Third Peach voluntarily sacrificed themselves to the Duke of Mikang.

Mikang's mother, Kui Shi, once persuaded: "They must be dedicated to the Son of Heaven." Three beasts together are a herd, three people together are a multitude, and three women together are cantonese. The Son of Heaven hunts and does not hunt the beasts, the princes go out to inspect the people and act modestly, the Heavenly Son chooses concubines not to marry three women of the same race; the three twin sisters are beautiful things, some people attribute good things to you, and what virtue can you bear? The Son of Heaven is still jealous, and the people are mortal! Mortals will die! However, in the end, Mi kang did not listen to his mother's advice and accepted the three daughters. The big peach, the second peach, and the three peaches are three twin sisters, whose mother is seventeen years old and has not yet married, and one day in the garden to enjoy the flowers, suddenly saw a peach blossom giving birth to three leaves, so she folded and wore it, and soon she was pregnant. The following year, a child gave birth to three daughters, and his father abandoned the three daughters on the water, and was later rescued and raised by the fishermen on the water. The history books do not mention the names of the three sisters, and the three were named after peaches because they were born of peach blossoms.

In the first month of the fifth year of the reign of King Gong of Zhou (943 BC), a man named Qiu Wei of Western Zhou exchanged his Wutian land for his neighbor Bang Boli for his Sitian land. Therefore, he reported the matter to the ministers of the criminal uncle, the uncle's father, and the Dingbo. After questioning, Bang Junli agreed to the exchange and made an oath, and the minister ordered the three divisions (Situ, Sima and Sikong) and the internal officials to conduct on-the-spot investigation and demarcation of the land boundary. It can be seen that in the middle of the Western Zhou Dynasty, some of the land was already privately owned, but the transfer, exchange and sale of land still needed to be proved by the dynasty's heavy subjects and the production of instruments. In February 1975, the 'Wuqi Weiding' excavated from the Western Zhou Bronze Ware Cellar at No. 1 Dongjia Village, Jingdang Commune, Qishan County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, recorded this event with an inscription of 19 lines and 207 characters cast on the inner wall of its abdomen. This Ding was originally stored in the Qishan County Museum and is now in the collection of the Shaanxi History Museum.

In the sixth year of the Zhou Gong King (942 BC), the Zhou Gong King ascended to the temple, and all the princes and princes came to pay tribute, but only the Duke of Mikang did not come. At this time, Mikang Justice and the three daughters were drinking and feasting in the palace day and night, and the punishment was heavy, and the people were overwhelmed with sorrow. When the King of Zhou Gong heard this, he was furious: "How can this thief who hinders the people be the lord of a country?" Therefore, he ordered Li Zao, the Marquis of Zhao, to lead 3,000 ironclad soldiers to the city of Micheng and capture The Duke of Mikang and his three daughters alive. Li Zao's father led the army into the palace, and the secret marquis walked under the curtain of the West Palace, was captured alive and bound by the father, and ordered the soldiers to hold three women and come to see the king. The king passed on the decree that the secret prince and the three women should be beheaded in the city, so as to warn the people of the future. At this point, the Secret Kingdom was destroyed. It is also recorded in the "Records of the Zhou Dynasty" that the King of Zhou Gong destroyed mikang.
