Under the guidance of the Information Office of the Fujian Provincial People's Government and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Fujian Provincial People's Government, the competition was jointly sponsored by the Fujian International Communication Center, Huaqiao University, Xiamen Women's Federation, Foreign Affairs Office of Zhangzhou Municipal People's Government, and Propaganda Department of Xiamen Jimei District Committee of the Communist Party of China, attracting international students from 56 countries and 61 colleges and universities to actively participate and submit 1,079 works.

On the afternoon of the 26th, the "Generation Z, Witnesses, Creators, and Communicators" Colorful Chinese Story Creation and Sharing Conference was also opened, where CCTV host Wang Mulin (Egypt), Jinan University student Bai Yang (Mexico), Northeast Forestry University student Wei Sheni (Russia), Huaqiao University Overseas New Voice Studio anchor Wei Yuda (Angola) and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics student Huang Wenbin (Indonesia) shared what they saw, heard, and felt in China.
