The Jinshanling Great Wall is located in Luanping County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, and is the essence of the Great Wall. The terrain here is dangerous, the field of vision is broad, the enemy buildings are dense, the vegetation is luxuriant, the mountains and rivers are beautiful, the scenery is charming, and it is known as the reputation of "the Great Wall of Ten Thousand Miles, the Golden Mountain is unique".
I am a farmer in Hualougou Village, Luanping County, Hebei Province, at the foot of the Jinshanling Great Wall, and with the opening of the Jinshanling Great Wall to the outside world, I started picking up my camera in 1986, first taking pictures of tourists, and later taking pictures of the Jinshanling Great Wall. It is now the 37th year that I have recorded the spring, summer, autumn and winter of the Jinshanling Great Wall, and photographed the weather, rain and snow of the Jinshanling Great Wall.

In mid-January this year, widespread snowfall fell across the country. At that time, I was running errands in the field, and my family called me to tell me that there were snowflakes around the Jinshanling Great Wall. I checked the weather forecast and the next day it was sunny. As a rule of thumb, the sun shining on the Great Wall of Jinshanling after the snow will definitely make a good photo. Facing the wind and snow, I drove 4 hours back. The next day, before dawn, I stepped on the thick snow and climbed to the vicinity of Xiaojin Mountain. After the sun comes out, the morning light shines on the Jinshanling Great Wall, which is as beautiful and magnificent as an oil painting. I excitedly operated the drone and kept pressing the shutter, for fear of missing a moment.

Every year around the Qingming Festival, 100,000 acres of apricot blossoms on both sides of the Jinshanling Great Wall compete to bloom, and the Jinshanling Great Wall ushers in the best time to take apricot blossoms. In the early morning, I climbed to the top of the ropeway beam, and the apricot blossoms bloomed as white as snow and pink as the glow, which were particularly delicate and moving under the sunshine, and the vicissitudes of the ancient Great Wall complemented each other, becoming a picture scroll of spring full of hope.

Summer at the Jinshanling Great Wall is full of life, with lush trees and XiXi cool breezes. After the rainfall, the temperature and humidity of the Jinshanling Great Wall have a certain chance of forming a sea of clouds. One morning after the rain, when the sky was bright, I stood in front of my house and saw the water vapor in the valley turn into mist and rise into the air. I picked up my camera and arrived at the right spot when the sky was just showing the whiteness of the fish's belly. The quaint Jinshanling Great Wall looms among the turquoise mountains, like a giant dragon lying on top of the lofty mountains. The sea of clouds is churning, swimming between the Great Wall and the mountains of Jinshanling, which is magnificent.

The Jinshanling Great Wall in autumn is colorful and gorgeous. In order to record the autumn beauty of the Jinshanling Great Wall, I climbed the Great Wall every morning for more than ten consecutive days, waiting for a time when the light and autumn scenery would best match.

The scenery of the Jinshanling Great Wall varies throughout the year, and over the past 30 years, I have taken about 500,000 photos of the Jinshanling Great Wall.
The Jinshanling Great Wall nurtured me, gave me wisdom and strength, and made me grow from an ordinary farmer's son to a farmer photographer. In the future, I want to go out and do a photo exhibition about the Jinshanling Great Wall abroad, and show the world the majestic momentum and vitality of the Great Wall of China.
