Hey friends, sit down and talk. Today I would like to share with you a piece of my experience in China, and by the way, I would like to talk about the various things that have been said about this country. First of all, I've been in Wuhan for 15 years, so I can say that I'm half a China expert! And, let me tell you, I love every corner of it.
I was drinking tea with my friend John, and he suddenly came to me, "Thank you, John, for intervening in this fight that doesn't belong to you!" It turned out that he had explained some misconceptions about China to him before thanking me. To be honest, the Western media's coverage of China sometimes makes you laugh out loud. It's all nonsense, disinformation.
For example, "China has no freedom" sounds like a joke. Oh my God! If there is no freedom, how can there be so many people singing and dancing in the streets, setting up shops and doing business? And let me tell you, it's so convenient to travel around China. Trains, planes, highways... And it's so safe! Walking down the street at night feels like walking around home.
Let's talk about political pressure. Dude, don't be misled. Of course, every country has its problems and challenges, but to say that the Chinese live as if they are oppressed?
But then again, the 15 years here have given me a lot of inspiration and food for thought. Watching the people around you work hard, the children studying Xi in school, the old people practicing sword dancing or tai chi in the park... Isn't that exciting? China is much better governed than my motherland, which is a corrupt country (i.e., a place where management is chaotic and the people are unhappy).
To be honest, every time I read a report on China in the Western media, I have mixed feelings in my heart. As a true witness, a foreigner who has lived and worked here for a long time, "Keep up the good work", "Thank you for everything", "Thank you for being outspoken" – these words have become my daily words.
Finally, I hope that more people can see for themselves what is going on in China. Don't just take one-sided words for you. You must know that the truth of "seeing is believing" will never change.
