Self-taught airborne, the first female parachute jumper in New China

She trains with her teammates every day, and when she comes home at night, she digs a sand pit and jumps high by herself. After half a year of conscientious training, Ma Xu finally passed the army assessment and became China's first female airborne soldier.
In the following 20 years, Ma Xu went to the plateau and grassland, and successfully completed the parachute jump mission again and again. She has parachuted more than 140 times, flying in the clouds, and is the most parachuted female soldier in China.
During the skydive, Ma Xu found that his ankles and waist were vulnerable to injury after parachuting. So she taught herself professional knowledge and worked with her husband to develop an inflatable ankle brace, which greatly reduced the injuries of airborne soldiers.

After retirement, he fulfilled his wish to donate to his hometown
Ma Xu has been retired for more than 20 years after becoming famous, living in a dilapidated courtyard. She and her husband Yan Xueyong don't have any luxuries around them, only rows and rows of research books.
