The World Grand Prix of Snooker, The Players Championship, and the Tour Championship are three ranking tournaments that only players with outstanding performance in a single season can participate in, and the World Grand Prix starts as early as possible, and the top 32 players in a single season are qualified.
After the conclusion of the Scottish Open season, the World Grand Prix entry list was confirmed, which will take place from 15 to 21 January 2024.
It is worth mentioning that among the 32 players who participated, including 12 top 16 players, new world champion Luca Brecel, world No. 7 Neil Robertson, No. 9 Kyren Wilson, and No. 14 Robert Milkins were all absent from the tournament.

Kyren Wilson, Milkins and Brecel are ranked 35th to 37th respectively in a single season, and unfortunately missed out on the qualification. Neil Robertson, on the other hand, is outside the 80th and has had a very poor season.
Halfway through the season, Neil Robertson has only played 14 games, with a 6-8 record, a win rate of less than 50%. He didn't even make it to the third round of the rankings, and if he continues to perform sluggishly in the second half of the season, he will soon fall out of the top 16 in the world rankings.
