On December 26, the Chengdu-Zigong-Yibin high-speed railway (hereinafter referred to as the Chengdu-Yibin high-speed railway) was completed and opened to traffic, and the Chengdu-Ziyi high-speed railway and the Chengdu-Guizhou high-speed railway from Chengdu to Leshan to Yibin will form a high-speed rail loop to further promote the integrated development of the southern Sichuan urban agglomeration and the Chengdu metropolitan area.
Chengdu Ziyi high-speed rail line is 261 kilometers long, the design speed is 350 kilometers per hour, the whole line has a total of Chengdu East, Tianfu, Sancha Lake, Tianfu Airport, Ziyang West, Zizhong West, Weiyuan, Zigong, Yantan, Nanxi North, Yibin East, Yibin and other 12 stations, of which Chengdu East Station, Zigong Station is the existing station, Tianfu Station is under construction.
The maximum speed of the Chengziyi high-speed railway is 350 kilometers per hour. In the early stage of operation, the railway department will operate up to 16 trains per day, of which the fastest between Chengdu East and Zigong and Yibin stations can be reached in 51 and 73 minutes respectively.
After the adjustment of the train schedule in the first quarter of 2024, the railway department will arrange to run 4 EMU trains of the "Chengdu East-Zigong-Yibin-Leshan-Chengdu East" ring line every day to connect the urban agglomerations in southern Sichuan.
