On December 23, NIO Day 2023 was held at the Xi'an Olympic Sports Center, and more than 2,000 NIO users participated in various co-creation sessions of this year's NIO Day around this year's theme "A New Journey". On that day, more than 10,000 users came to the site.
The biggest highlight of NIO Day 2023 is the official debut of NIO's smart electric executive flagship ET9. The ET9 adopts the original executive four-seat layout, with the innovative "Sky Island" and "Executive Bridge" design, to create four exclusive first-class seating space experiences. The NIO ET9 is available for pre-order from now on, with a pre-sale price of 800,000 yuan, and deliveries will begin in the first quarter of 2025.
The ET9 is the crystallization of NIO's full-stack technology layout and world-leading technologies, including 17 world-premiere technologies, 52 class-leading technologies, and 525 patents.
NIO's ET9's "SkyRide Intelligent Chassis System" integrates the three core hardware systems of steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering, and fully active suspension for the first time, and is currently the world's only fully intelligent chassis-by-wire. The ET9 can achieve a flat experience in complex road conditions.
The NIO ET9 is equipped with a "global 900V high-voltage architecture", and the 900V supercharging and fast-swapping system can achieve industry-leading performance by adding 255km to a full battery operation in 3 minutes or charging for 5 minutes.
In terms of computing power, NIO ET9 is equipped with a self-developed intelligent driving chip and a self-developed vehicle global operating system, and NIO's first 5nm automotive-grade intelligent driving chip, Shenji NX9031, is combined with the world's first vehicle-centric intelligent electric vehicle global operating system, SkyOS, Tianshu, to realize the close integration of computing power with its own algorithms, and the sharing of cross-domain computing resources between intelligent driving and cockpit.
In addition, NIO also officially released the fourth-generation battery swap station and 640kW fully liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging pile. The fourth-generation battery swap station supports multi-brand shared battery swapping, shortening the battery swap time by 22%, and is equipped with a rooftop photovoltaic system, saving nearly 18,000 kWh of electricity per station per year. NIO's 640kW fully liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging pile has a maximum current of 765A, a maximum voltage of 1000V, and a peak charging power of 640kW, which can intelligently distribute charging power in the station in real time. In 2024, NIO will add 1,000 battery swap stations and 20,000 charging poles to further improve the charging experience for users.
