Art comes from life, it produces beauty, and at the same time enriches our spirit. Zhou Duoren's solo exhibition "Returning from Touring" opened in the ancient village of Xiemaqiao, which is located near Hongqiao Airport.
In this winter, contrasting contemporary art works are presented at Xiema Bridge. The traditional history of Xiema Bridge, as well as the natural and pristine scenery, form an intrinsic link with these contemporary art works.
With "Returning from Touring" as the theme of Zhou Duoren's solo exhibition, as stated in the foreword: "Traveling on the journey, returning at the time of the heart's desire, every round trip is life." "An artist's creation is inseparable from his own life experience, and every rich experience can help him move forward.
Zhou Duoren was born in Wuhan, Hubei Province in 1984 and graduated from the School of Arts of Chongqing University in 2009. Many of his works revolve around his own peculiar dreams, where brilliant and colorful color blocks collide and intertwine, eye-catching and thick lines are layered and outlined, images are covered and separated from each other, and vivid and dynamic things leap onto the page, presenting a fairytale-like fantasy world.
With his works, it seems that you can walk into some kind of unknown world at the level of self-spirit, and the seemingly lively pictures always have a touch of loneliness embedded in them, which brings the viewer more thoughts in the dreamy atmosphere permeated with absurdity and childishness.
Nature and animals coexist in harmony, and if the relationship between man and nature can be the same, it will really achieve the beautiful utopia he described.

This exhibition is hosted by Art Wangdong and Xiemaqiao Cultural Tourism, co-organized by Sodeng and Zero Generation Culture, supported by Hua Rongli, with Wang Jiamin as the curator and artist Nanchao as the initiator.
